It’s been many years since I’ve been to Turkey to see Ephesus. I enjoyed that trip, so I wanted to come to this museum. What a great experience! This museum exhibits some of the fascinating finds of the ancient Greek site. The great Greco-Roman frieze has been arranged into what it might have looked like in ancient times and looks amazing. There’s also a platform where you can see the frieze from higher up and see it in its entirety. Don’t miss the sculptures “The Sphinx Devouring a Boy” and “Athlete from Ephesus”! Upstairs there’s a small collection of frieze and stone work and pretty polychrome marble pillars.

The museum is not actually all that big, but the focus is on high quality exhibits. I’m interested in classics, so it took me over an hour to get through everything.

The entrance ticket to this museum also gets you into House of Austrian History museum, which is also fantastic. Both these museums are in the same building!

Excellent, with good interpretation. It's not a huge collection, but historically so important and interesting, and some of the exhibits are spectacular. It's definitely on my "must do" list for Vienna museums.

Fascinating museums that is part of the Neue Burg Museums. With a ticket you get access to three museums and they are all worth it. Lots of ancient artifacts.

We spent 15 Euros to get to museum to find out it has been closed for renovation. We expect more from TripAdvisor. We usually have good luck using the app for information.

I'm very keen on archaeological museum from the Ancient World, and I like the Ephesos museum much. It might not be too big, but steel thee are a lot of finds - sculptures mainly, but also freezes, column and the like. For archaeology lovers this museum is a must (or a visit to Ephesus in Turkey instead). The museum is pat of the KHM (Kunst Historisches Museum) and there is one ticket for both places. The focal artefacts in the museum are said to be the following: the Parthian Monument, the Amazon from the Altar of the Artemision, the bronze Athlete statue and the Child with a Goose.
