“Perfect location and wonderful apartment”
Reviewed 9 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

Wonderfully appointed apartment with everything you will need. Spacious historic apartment that is a pleasure to live in for your stay. Amazingly well supplied.

We walked everywhere from the apartment. To the opera, Mozart concert, Spainish Riding School and to numerous museums. Restaurants are at your door as are food shops and every manner of shopping. You quickly realize the first district is small in scale and perfect for a pedestrian to explore.

The owners are attentive to your needs. Very much recommend this apartment.

“Spacious, Quiet, Superb Location”

We spent a week at Sonata and couldn’t have been more pleased with what we found there. The apartment was well-cared for, well-furnished, and had a well-equipped kitchen. Christian was an excellent host, giving us a thorough tour of the apartment and much useful information on important services and attractions. Not only is the apartment close to good groceries and restaurants, but almost everything that you might want to do in the city is walkable. We were only on the subway once in seven days. Walking out of the apartment, you’re in the center of the shopping and museum districts within 2 minutes. Yet, because the center of the city is partly turned over to pedestrian walkways, you’re not surrounded by heavy traffic. Vienna is a gem and so is Sonata. We’d go back in a second.

“Great Location with Authentic Vienna Ambiance”

My husband and I were traveling with our 12 and 14 year old and had the pleasure of staying in "Sonata". The photos accurately show the beauty of the centuries old apartment. High ceilings, beautiful floors, and expansive windows are a constant reminder that you are staying in such an elegant city. All the beds were extremely comfortable and the living area provided ample seating for us as well as our friends who were staying down the hall in apartment "Musette". Since Christian and Monica have several apartments in this building it really is a perfect solution if you have a very large party traveling together.
As other reviewers noted, you will make a morning stop at Grimm Bakery your daily habit. The location is perfect for all the sights of Vienna. The only time we took the metro was to go to Schoenbrunn Palace.
There is a fantastic market just a few blocks away called Merkur Hoher Markt. It has anything you could possibly want if you plan on cooking at the apartment. We chose to use it as our go to place for wine, cheese, deli meats, and of course a chocolate or two. There is a Youtube video on the market that will have you salivating.
Your restaurant choices in the neighborhood are endless. This really is the best place to stay in Vienna. We will be returning to the city and our Vienna getaway "Sonata".
