Excellent location minutes away from the main street Kärnerstrasse. Excellent breakfast with lots of choices for food and drink. You can eat in the beautiful courtyard or inside. I can only give 3 star reviews because none of the staff was very friendly. Everywhere in Austria people greet you with a loud "Grüß Gott" but at the hotel it was as if they didn't see you walk in or leave and they only said hi and goodbye as an after thought. The breakfast staff could also be more outgoing and friendly. Also, one of the Junior Suites is in the very top floor, you have to walk down many floors and then up a small circular staircase where the paint and carpet are old and worn. The room is super big but nothing like the picture on their website where the suite is elegant. Apparently the one pictured on their website is on the first floor so you have to ask for that one specifically. Bathroom could use facecloths and the bed could use some sort of mattress pad not just a sheet on top of the mattress.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor

Perfect location - literally a five minute walk to either the Opera House or St. Stephens Cathedral. Supportive staff. Large, clean, well-equipped room (224), with good air-conditioning and ample windows. Quiet. Strong WiFi, with simple security. Our adult kids (3) also had one of the 'apartments' on the top floor (A3) -- sort of the 'attic' -- it was large and nicely laid out, but had a bit of a ventilation problem (with small windows). They didn't mind it too much.

The really great feature is the breakfast -- many choices, all great quality. And a lovely little outside breakfast area in the central courtyard.

Room Tip: Triple 'apartment' room (A3) on the top floor has lots of space, but a slight ventilation problem.

The hotel is very strategically located from 5 mins to city center , opera house , most museums etc . Rooms r very big , nice and clean . Wifi is weak but ok managable , lift is very old and breakfast was just not good at all . But you can go here if u really want everything to be under 5 mins walk .

Stayed last weekend for 4 nights. Hotel is very central to shops, st Stephens cathedral in a quiet side st. Good area to stay.
If you have windows open, onto street, the noise from 6am is unbelievably loud, deliveries, lorries etc.
Never saw a cleaner, reception staff apart from 1 man were generally unfriendly. Breakfast staff did job but no friendliness or conversation. Courtyard is lovely. Have now read other comments and didn’t know there was coffee or snacks in lounge area. No facilities were pointed out or explained. No kettle in room and only 1 pillow. Should have asked for more but didn’t get round to it. The attached photo is what cleaners did with bed covers I had folded up, as it was too hot- shocked! Literally screwed up and thrown in bottom of wardrobe on top of our shoes! No wonder the bed covers looked so scruffy when we arrived, if that’s how they treat them.
Also found pair of men’s trainers in the drawer, so room had not been checked. Breakfast nice enough mostly continental with heaters for hot eggs and sausages.
Ok hotel, but could be so much better if more friendly.
We got ‘fixed price taxi’ from airport to here for48 euros for 4 of us plus big luggage smaller taxi would be 36 euros.
Lovely little restaurant/ drinks-bar in same st just up towards main st, can’t remember name- possibly morris/ metro? Made it our first drink stop nightly and had great snitzel there too. Really friendly and welcoming.
Vienna was lovely but quite expensive. Bottle of vino at least 30 euros cocktails 9 euros. Could also make more of buildings/ statues at night which are hardly lit up. If you go to a show try Strauss & Mozart ‘sound of Vienna’ in beautiful building in the park. Really good.

The parade of front desk people over the 4 days we were here was absolutely amazing. And I don't think I even saw one smile! From our AC that did not work that they tried to fix and could not, to the mold on the shower wall (which they made an effort to remove but have a long way to go!), it was a frustrating few days. Intermittent wifi, no wake up call and taxi, when asked for with reminders the night before. Good thing we had backup plans and the taxi came in 5 minutes. Yes, the Jura coffee machine is so nice in the sitting room but ditch the artificial flowers, please, and go with live plants or fresh. The bed and pillows are comfortable but the showerhead is so far forward in the shower there is no room to maneuver under it. Front/ street side rooms are noisy if you open the windows for cool air, if your AC does not work. Breakfast is good, but the weather was not warm enough to sit outside yet. The elevator is the tiniest one I have ever seen so you and your luggage may have to make a few trips! If they resolve these issues and train the staff to smile and greet people and at least act friendly, it would make a huge difference.
