This casual, beer hall-like restaurant has hearty, friendly service, and hearty local fare. A good beer list, and delicious local specialties. The servings are very generous. I had ribs, which at home would be baby back ribs. The single serving was two plates with 8 or 9 ribs per plate, trimmed in what some call the St. Louis Style. They were fall-off-the-bone tender and flavorful on their own. I had a plain local sauce, which seemed to be mostly ketchup, but I wasn't looking for American style ribs. All of the sides were well-prepared. We ate early, but I would expect this place could get crowded at a more fashionable dinner hour.
