I was in Vienna for 3 weeks and every time I walked by this restaurant I was intrigued. There always seemed to be a steady, eclectic crowd dining inside and the decor was engaging. A dear friend came to town to visit and she raved about past experiences with Georgian food, so we decided to try it out. The wait staff was friendly and efficient, and luckily for us all spoke English. The room to the left had some live entertainment, but it was a bit loud so we sat in the room to the right, which was more elegant and decorated with lots of fabrics in soothing, muted in colors. We ordered Imeruli Khacha puri, a flaky, cheese filled, warm bread. Badridschani, a refreshing eggplant stuffed with cheese, covered in what seemed to be a yogurt, garlic and dill sauce, that exploded with flavor in our mouth. Our main dish was opschachuri, stewed pork with potatoes, peppers, mushroom and parsley. This had a nice flavor but not as tender as would be expected for a slow cooked dish. Our meal was accompanied by an appealing sweet, red, wine that started with a K but I can't remember the name. We were pleased with our experience and would recommend it, especially to try food that isn't the usual fare one finds.

This must be a new restaurant, because everything matched, was in good shape and very clean. Someone should post pix of the interior; more attractive than what's online.
Bought prix-fixe lunch. Pork chop, fries or very nice grilled veggies, soup and small salad - just under 10 euros each. Food was fresh, tasty and nicely prepared and presented. The server was pleasant and helpful. We would return if we were in area longer. It's a winning venue for all types of diners.

4 friends out for dinner to try Georgian food at this well reviewed place. Started with beer that was unfortunately warm. We asked for yet another one, cold please. After 10 minutes we ask about it again - the answer was "yes, we put in the fridge"... We thought to try the Georgian wine. One was OK, but the red wine was at about 30 degrees Celsius so we complained about it. Answer was: "I will say"... After this very helpful input from our waitress, food "started coming". At appetizers some had to ask for bread, some for cutlery. The mains came about 30 minutes apart - so basically the first guy that finished eating called for the manager to complain about the last one not receiving anything yet. Turns out what guest #3 ate was not ordered at all, guest #4 received the order of the previous one and hence sent it back and in the end had to stay hungry. Confused? So were we. We asked for the bill and 10 min later it came. €133. No excuses and nothing off the bill, it was just placed in front of us. So: the food that I ate (a fistful of beans with gherkins without cutlery for €11 or so) was tasty but highly overpriced and to be honest really unenjoyable when the others around you have nothing to eat and when service is let to very young, unexperienced staff. The place looks nice and could have been something but I don't see it making it past a few months in Vienna with such service.

Very cozy, nice looking restaurant with delicious Georgian dishes and great service! Restaurant menu offers large variety of vegetable and meat dishes, and Georgian wine in addition to other drinks. The restaurant conveniently located just behind the Volktheater.
