We were a party of 4 people who stayed at the Hotel Engl for three nights from 8 - 11 June 2017. The hotel is situated within walking distance of the old city, it has big and comfortable rooms, and serve a very nice breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay - thanks guys for your excellent service.

This is a great hotel for a stay in Innsbruck, located just across the river & a 5 minute walk to the centre.
On arrival the hotel receptionist was helpful and I had room 103, it was a big twin room with ensuite shower with loads of free toiletries & all was spotlessly clean.
What I did like being a smoker was a little outside patio area between floors at the back of the hotel, saves me traipsing all the way downstairs out the front, 'Well done Engl'.
The hotel Wifi was a bit rubbish though.
Breakfast in the morning was very good with the bread rolls being restocked up when low.
One word of warning the hotel has a free underground car park 200 metres up the road, but it's no good for large vehicles or if you've got a roof box on, there is a height restriction.
All in all a very good hotel, I was well pleased with choice.

Clean, well equipped, accommodating hotel in the heart of old town. It is situated right next to the Swavarovski crystal museum (must see in Innsbruck). The only downside was the noisy party goers that wouldn't keep their voices down, even at 2 AM. Also, be sure to visit the lovely restaurant right opposite. The food is just great. Just can't remember the name of the place :/

Stayed in the hotel for one night for business. Hotel was easy enough to reach from the airport - take the bus until it goes across the river and then either walk the rest of the way there or wait for the W bus. I had a very cozy room with an updated bathroom. Both were clean. You can see the care that the owners put into decorating the hotel. It may not be uber trendy but everything is very functional and traditional. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was as good as any other hotel, with a good selection of foods. I asked for the wifi password at the reception and got the code for two hours of free access. It worked fine to upload backups of all the great photos of the mountains and other areas in Innsbruck. The street outside tends to get a bit of traffic, but the room was not loud by any means. Will be back for sure!

We stayed last minute whilst waiting for a flight. Excellent location, just a short walk along the river and over the bridge to access the old city which is fascinating. The rooms are adequate and clean. No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms which is a shame. Hairdryer and safe in rooms. Breakfast is fine with a reasonable choice of cereals and some hot egg dish each day. The bar did serve drinks in the evening but it was functional rather than a place of choice for a drink. I'd recommend this as a place for 1-2 nights, does the job at a reasonable price.
