I tried Mayr diet before at Viva Mayr in Austria, which I didnt like. I highly recommend Park Igls. Innsbruck mountains are magnificent! The air is so clean! The center has a lot of activities, great therapists and beautiful clean rooms. The diet was very beneficial and in 7 days I ve lost 2 kilo and got healthier overall. I will defenetly cone back. The prices are readonable.

Absolutely brilliant facilities, all spotlessly clean and efficiently run. Food was delicious, even on the limited diet. The pool and sauna area was very relaxing with plenty of towels and bottled water. Lovely walks in the area, bicycles to use and very helpful staff. My daughter and I left feeling so much healthier than when we arrived. We can't wait to return.

This is a health clinic as much as a hotel - it does the Modern Meyr method of diagnosis and cure. I simply cannot say enough good things about this facility - because that is what it is. The location is idyllic; the staff are phenomenal - kind and polite and cheerful to a fault. The actual medical element is beyond compare - you wouldn't find anything remotely like this in the UK. After years of feeling awful, 8 days has changed my life and with no medication - it was all herbal and vitamin based. They use loads of complementary medicine and their practitioners are properly trained people. I would like to single out Dr Brunhofer, whose care was incomparable and Barbara, whose wraps (not the food) were incredible and thorough and above all, really kind (being covered in algae and cream and sea mud and then wrapped in cling film and then covered in towels on a warmed bed and then clearing up after you - eat your heart out other Spas. Barbara is here! Markus Sorg, who looks like a 18 year old snowboarder but is their head chef is inspirationally enthusiastic. He spent an hour of his own time showing me how to cook the (exquisite) food that they serve and telling me how he sources the food - some of the meat is produced exclusively for them as are the oils. The rooms are immaculate and every single bathroom and lavatory in the public areas is pristine at all times. The swimming pool and sauna areas (they have 2 - for those who what to wear a little something and for those who want the full monty) are stunning, clean and incredibly well set up with tonnes of towels, swimming things and loungers. Every bedroom has an amazing shower and hot water bottles for liver compresses and hot water canisters on each floor to fill them with. There is a tea bar that has different teas every day that do different things for your health. They have an incredible fitness room and a free programme of fitness events every day (in the fitness room and the pool) as well as a infrared saunas and steam rooms. Its an adult heaven. Its also 15 minutes by bus to Innsbruck or if you want a walk, you are in the middle of the mountains and can go through the village into green fields (which were covered in snow. Thick, white powdery snow). It was like Narnia in winter but without the bad bits.

I leave here with renewed energy and zest and a deep gratitude for this amazing place.

Room Tip: First floor is most convenient

I am more of the untypical visitor to Parkhotel Igls as I did it involuntarily and did thoroughly not enjoy the Mayr diet. But if you are looking to detox your bowels or just relax, this is the place to go! The facilities are great, the program is varied and conducted very well. The staff is very friendly and professional. The food is good, even if I was not happy with the restrictive diet. The kitchen is very professional.

The staff is extremely friendly and try their best to accomodate your wishes. Even though there was a hiccup at checkin, they showed me several other rooms to choose . Treatments are dispensed punctually in a calm atmosphere. The food is beautifully presented. I was on a low calorie diet, but once my appetite settled into the new regime it was not too unpleasant to follow and I had no hunger pangs after 2 days. There is a delicious freshly made vegetable broth served on tap every day between 10am to 1pm as well as a very vast selection of herbal brews which keeps hunger pangs at bay and enables you to drink the advised 3 litres of water daily ! There is a lovely heated pool and sauna (one with bathing suits and one without, mixed). The rooms are a bit stark but modern and comfortable with lovely views. The toileteries provided are very good...no hair conditioner though !
The only negative points : The hotel is near a road so you hear traffic all day...however it is a small town . Also,if there are specific treatments you want to do, please ensure upon booking that the person dispensing them are not on holiday. Not all the activites are bilingual. Wifi in my bedroom was sketchy...works better downstairs

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room...the one near the road can bother light sleepers
