The first thing that struck us when we checked in was how nice the owner/receptionist was, offering tips and making jokes despite the somewhat late hour.

The rooms are basic, but spacious enough. There's free parking available, although the space is a little limited. It's about 20-30 minutes from the old town by foot (we walked everywhere), but there's also a bus stop across the street.

There are eateries and restaurants around the area, and it felt safe at night. It's on a main road, so either ask for a room facing the back or bring earplugs if traffic noise bothers you. Good wifi reception, and I believe the hotel only offers breakfast at an additional fee, no other meals. We'd stay here again for the good value and quality rooms provided!

This is an out of town hotel but right across the road from a bus stop for buses to the old town (20 minutes, frequent buses 4 and 10). Free parking. It was good value, and the small double room was clean and had a large double bed and was quite big enough. It is on a main road, so bring your earplugs in case your room overlooks the road. There are cafes around if you don’t want to pay extra for a big hotel breakfast. The hotel reception staff were very helpful, and provided a map with two local restaurants marked- the closer one, Austrian/Italian, was the better one – or if you want more choice you would need to bus into town. A day’s travel ticket is E4 obtainable from reception. Wifi was free and good, but unsecured, and I picked up adware bugs on my phone. But a good value hotel for two days in Saltzburg.

Room Tip: It is on a main road so bring your earplugs as there was some traffic noise. The small double was very good value and had a big bed.

The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the old town. The rooms were very basic but that's why we chose here. Good priced rooms. Excellent wifi and great shower. Beds were comfy too. The hotel serves breakfast but no other meals as we were told upon arrival

The price is right for this hotel. The accommodations aren't fancy, but I also had no real complaints. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The best part for me was that you can catch the bus right outside the hotel and it's a short journey into town (numbers 4 or 10). I'd stay again for the value and convenience of the bus.

This is a very charming 3 star hotel situated in the Gnigl district of Salzburg. Having purchased a travel guide to the city on arrival at the airport, I had no problem in picking up a tram/trolley bus (No:2), and then changing at W-Dietrich-Strasse for a No:4). As luck would have it the stop happened to be within 10-20 yards of the hotel. My room at the side of the hotel, was very clean. The bed was comfortable, a generous sized wardrobe. The only criticism I would have would be with the bathroom. For a large person it might be a bit of squeeze sitting on the toilet and then having to get up, as the wash basin was partially in the way. Sleeping was no trouble at all, as I was at the side. Breakfast was not included in the price of the room, Breakfast at €9.50c, was very similar to those on my previous reviews. A selection of cereals, fruit juice, yoghurts (no Blackcurrant), preserves, cheeses, hard-boiled eggs. Once again they had a self service coffee/hot drinks machine. Another bonus for this hotel, is the No:23 takes only 19/20 minutes to the Hauptbahnhof (Central Station). I am pleased to award this Traditional looking hotel a 5 star rating.

Room Tip: Room on the side of the hotel are quiet.
