Nice hotel, good breakfast, friendly people. A small town but a very nice one, beautiful Austrian sightseeing. It's worth few nights of staying there on their prices. They have also a spa and treatment center. Close to city centre, a good walk at evening it's very settling on those beautiful streets

Agree with the others - the location is great (blocks from the central district), but the building itself is nothing to look at (it shares a building with some offices). The inside is your typical Austrian decor - wood, wood everywhere. Somewhat old but kept up with. The staff was the best part - we had made a mistake with our booking but they did their best to accommodate us anyway. The breakfast was good, typical Austrian fare. Choose this hotel for the good location, which is probably why the price was as high as it was.

The hotel is not in its own building so has no atmosphere , the building itself is very ugly.
It's position is good , near the centre , parking was ok at the weekend, regretfully before we left on monday morning we found a fine on the windscreen even though we were in a space reserved for ' hotel '
The room was ok ( but really a 3 star hotel room ) , the bed was comfy,, the tv great, the wi fi ok , the bathroom had a shower in the bath , the pillow was terrible and the road outside was noisy with traffic, particularly in the morning.
The breakfast staff were great, very helpful , and the breakfast had a quality selection , although for a four star hotel available hot water or hot food would have been nice .
Definitely felt like a 3 star hotel .

We arrived at the train station the afternoon before the start of the Festival in August. Streets were closed down to traffic, so we walked to the hotel, about ten minutes. The facade of the hotel is deceptive - looks like an office building. But, once on the hotel's upper floors, it's very comfortable and quiet with excellent air conditioning and a nice view out to the mountains. The breakfast was sumptious, by our American cold cereal standards (meat, fruit, pastries, in addition to cereal and yogurt). The staff was very good on advising how to get around. Klagenfurt is totally off the American tourist route, but it was a wonderful visit and the Festival was a truly enjoyable event. Thumbs up for Klagenfurt!

Room Tip: Call them up and ask.
