This restaurant is located in the old location of the El Greco Greek restaurant and should not be confused with this restaurant.
This restaurant is extremely professional and the decor from the El Greco has been completely removed and is significantly upgraded. The ambiance is subtle with low key music playing in the background with oil paintings scattered around the walls.
The restaurant is run by Italians and the food is clearly Italian inspired however, there are the touches of the local food delicacies that are needed for attaining a Michelin Star which is the clear goal of this establishment. However, due to the quality, delivery and attention to detail of the diners experience I am pretty sure this will be the 1st Michelin Star restaurant in Styria.
Myself and my wife took the surprise menu that consisted of

Fish soup
Smoked salmon and caviar
Oyster
Langoustine
Gnocchi
Tomato pumpkin soup
Lamb chop
Truffle risotto
Creme brûlée moose

Speciality wine from Italy and south Styria

The waiters will keep asking you if you want a break. Be careful as you’ll keep drinking your wine and hence a second bottle will be presented to you. The waiters know their business.

Cost 278 euro

This is truly amazing restaurant

Well recommended

We dinned here 3 out of our 5 days in Graz. It was so wonderful and definitely the best restaurant in Graz! So much attention to detail...even the artwork on the walls were painted by the chef. The food itself was really art on a plate, and the service was world class! Our glasses were never empty and the atmosphere was so charming. The selection of wines will amaze you. Just trust the chef to recommend one! The food was not your usual fare. We had an amazing house-made curried bread and one with squid ink! The kitchen, which is visible through a glass wall, was spotless! If you are anywhere in Austria it is worth the effort of getting to Graz to experience this upscale, yet delightfully warm and friendly restaurant.

From food to service, everything about the restaurant deserves so much recognition. Each dish is presented beautifully like a work of art - stylish, breathtaking, and of course, absolutely delicious. The chef even takes it upon himself to introduce each of his creation to us, almost like a performance. His passion for food - its taste, aesthetic, how it is received - adds beauty and a warm ambience to the restaurant. If you're looking to fine dine in Graz, look no further: La Perla is the place for you.
