For me this is the best of the hotels in Soldeu, and best in this range as well. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Sometimes it can take a while to be served and they will come to your table and ask, but generally the facilities are great and the views great.

Great location for access to slopes, no distance at all. Rooms good although very warm, no control of heat unless you open the window. Restaurant and public areas are cold so take extra woolies. Fantastic activities for non-skiers with Esther, who excels in leading, Pilates , aqua gym, walks, stretching, Zumba, and much more - not to be missed. Good gym equipment. Lovely views of the ski runs from restaurant and sitting areas. Good buffet style meals although hot dishes are luke warm. Staff are lovely and friendly.

Room Tip: 2307 has views of the pistes

We stayed for one week from Jan 8th to 15th 2017. In a lot of ways the hotel is perfect. You couldn't get any closer to the gondola, the staff are so helpful and friendly, the food is excellent for buffet dining and the rooms are comfortable with adequate storage space, memory foam pillows (although we'd have preferred a softer mattress - never seem to get that in a ski resort). The bathroom had a bath with shower which was powerful with no fluctuation in water temperature. So what are the niggles? The first thing is that all the public areas are chilly including the restaurant. The maitre d' would sit us by the griddle station because that was the warmest spot, bless her. The next thing is the price of drinks 10 Euro for a G&T! Add that price to chilliness of the bar and the hotel are losing a lot of potential business because it makes people go elsewhere for a drink and a lack of people at the bar means a lack of atmosphere. My final gripe is the Spa, don't get me wrong it's an excellent spa with many very good facilities but 37 Euro for one session is taking the mickey. Most 4 star ski hotels we've stayed in (and we've stayed in plenty) the Spa is included at no extra cost. All in all a very good hotel and I'd recommend it but take a sweater and plenty of money :) Oh nearly forgot you need flip flops for the Spa so Pack them or they'll cost you an extra 12 Euro in the Spa or 8 Euro from the shop next door.

Room Tip: If you want to use the Spa a lot book into a suite for 40 Euro per day extra and the Spa will be included for both of you.

Dear Member51,
Thank you for choosing Sport Hotel Village 4 * to enjoy your ski holiday in Andorra.
We are pleased that you have been able to enjoy the services and facilities offered by our hotel.
We take their comments into consideration and drive to the heads of each department
Regarding your spa comment, it is true that some rooms of the hotel (the Junior Suite) have access to the spa included, the other rooms have a preferential price of € 37 instead of € 49. This winter we have added a special rate for guest € 29 available from 10 am to 2 pm.
Yours sincerely,

Stayed in this hotel over the Christmas period from 19th to 27th December 2016, staying in room 3415 as a party of three (couple and teenage daughter) to go skiing.

Hotel is well situated and aims to be a high class hotel, and in fairness does have several key features, but its high points are often outwaited by its inadequacies. Having stayed at the Himalaya, Piolets & Hotel Sport previously, we would say that any of these are a better hotel than the Hotel Village.

Good Points: Central location, Good sized rooms, Large open breakout spaces, Amazing Spa facilities, Large range of food at mealtimes, Good range of wines & spirits, Breakfast was exceptional in array of choice 0730-1030, free and good safes in rooms. Hairdryer in bathroom, two sinks :)

Bad Points: Very outdated and in need of a makeover (décor in rooms, restaurant music !), very few staff spoke English (Restaurant Manager was excellent)(very few English families in the hotel), very little food was translated into English meaning it was difficult to identify some foods, Evening meal was very fish orientated and rather late 1930-2230. Many room fixtures were in need of attention, (from door handles to sockets not working). Mirror in main bedroom is positioned such that reflected all movements to the 'junior area', junior sofa beds were uncomfortable. Rooms 3415/3315/3215/3401/3301/3201 did not have balconies, even though all are advertised as such. Our room was situated next to a generator/pump/lift which made constant noise. No kettle in room. All rooms on the slope facing side 3201-3415 have poor access to rooms as you have to track right through the hotel to the far lift to access them - really could do with an direct access door to the gondola area !. Several functions and events put on through the Christmas period, but all poorly advertised and not in English, Christmas menu was not exactly anything more than a normal menu 'jazzed up'

Summary: Good location, but better hotels are available in the town.

Room Tip: The end rooms dont have balconies, so I would plump for a room in the 02-08 or 12-14 range to include a balcany and avoid the lifts

This is a truly beautiful hotel with wood everywhere. The staff are very friendly. The bar food was delicious. The buffet breakfast will set you up for the day with all sorts of fruits, cheeses and cold meats. There are also hot breakfast available.
