Just got back from 2 fabulous weeks at the King Jason, and want to add our compliments to Andreas and his staff - in particular the attention and friendliness offered by Maria on reception - she knows what you want before you do, from ringing the rental car agency and having the car delivered on our first hot morning, to providing free maps and directions to local sites, and making sure of our comfort on the last long day - despite late checkout being unavailable she offered lockers, towels and showers to us and safe storage for our cases. Little touches like fresh pool towels every day, and cupboards full of paperbacks to swap, along with attractive and comfortable reception areas with beautiful decor and lighting especially the candles at night, create a cosy and intimate atmosphere.
We had a studio room (26) which was as requested upper floor and pool view, with a great balcony where we enjoyed breakfast in the sun, and late afternoon shade after days out. The room was large, with plenty of storage space and kitchen equipment including a good size fridge. The air con unit was noisy but effective, and essential during the night, and did not interfere with sleep. As there were no mosquitoes in evidence it was also nice to open the patio door come daybreak.
We tended to go out in the car most days, ending up at the pool mid-afternoon and never had a problem finding loungers. There was plenty of shade from umbrellas and trees when we'd had enough rays, and the pool was large enough to swim properly. The upper decking with double bed sized loungers and cabana-style benches made a nice change too.
We ate lunch in the hotel restaurant many times, and found the quality and variety of food on offer most impressive. We also had an evening meal in the hotel - buffet style hot and cold dishes, something for everyone and enough for anyone, and again top quality for every course.
We attended the wine-tasting on Friday night - Andreas is well-informed and very generous with his offerings of local wines accompanied by nibbles, and a full glass of your fancy to take into dinner with you.
The walk to the harbour area took us no more than 15-20 minutes and we had some fabulous fresh fish and steak meals at Theo's, and a superb Chinese meal at Chloe's (can't miss it, look for the bright pink lit trees!)
As football fans we found Alexander's Bar most hospitable for late night matches from home, and the channels on offer on the TV in our room great for keeping up with news and more - BBC1,2, ITV, 5 and Sky Sports 1 all available.
To sum up, this was easily the best package holiday we have ever had - a perfect combination of unstinting hot weather, good food, wine and company, and the phenomenal service from Andreas and his team at this jewel of a hotel means that we are looking to return to Paphos. No wonder King Jason attracts so many repeat visitors. Thank you and hope to see you again next year
Carole and Pete.

I was'nt cherishing the thought of going back to somewhere we last visited 14 years ago, things are just not the same somehow. BOY, WAS I WRONG!!
The complex has matured into a tropical paradise, beautifully maintained, very clean and lots of sunbeds.
Cyprus is renowned for its warmth and hospitality, Andreas (the boss), the lovely Maria and the team are the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered on holidays of this kind, and they all go out of their way to make everyone feel like royalty.
Excellent food is now available, starting with a full buffet style breakfast, and the option to take an evening meal for a set price. All the food was first class, good choice and with so much to choose from (or have a little of everything like I do), then it's no bad thing that the complex is located maybe 10mins walk from where the majority of bars and restaurants are! The great thing about being in a residential area is that you are away from those late night bars and tosh that passes for dance music these days! I suppose if you have less mobile people in your group, you could find the layout and the distance from town a bit of a problem (one of our friends stayed recently with their 80 yr old dad, and they had to use taxis to get about)
I suppose that if I had to be critical, some of the towels were getting a bit past it, but at least they were all changed regularly. Apart from that, I can't really knock the place, it was excellent, and I would not hesitate to go back first chance I get.
There have been some comments about cats, if you like them you will LOVE King Jason, if not, they are NOT a problem, they know to keep their distance when they get negative vibes. All are clean and looked after (best fed cats I've ever seen in the Med!!)
No entertainment as such, the place isnt big enough, but there were cocktail and wine tasting nights, as well as cakes in the afternoon.
Great holiday, great people, and good value too.
If you go off season, there is a lot of competition amongst the restaurants in town, all helps if you are on a budget.

When we arrived we were greeted with ice cold drinks and our cases were taken to our rooms by one of the staff. The rooms are spacious, with air conditioning and the staff were very very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. This hotel is set in a residential area but is only about a 15 minute walk to the harbour, which is absolutely lovely, and a bus ride to Coral bay beach, which costs 1euro, was a pleasure as there are many gorgeous views to be seen along the way.

We never had any trouble getting a sunbed around the pool each day and hotel towels were also provided for sunbed use, which was good. Small ice cold refresher wipes were offered out every day and drinks were brought to the pool area by staff, these little things that make all the difference.

We will definitely be returning, the staff are fantastic and are so helpful and friendly and give advice on places to visit. We all loved it.

Good clean apartments with efficient and necessary air conditioning. Good views of pool area for most apartments so you can eye the kids. Reception area is modern and fresh with wiith a bar seating area that is just simply excellent and relaxing.
Pool is clean and well attended every night.
Staff are very friendly and attentive, the shop being very useful for apartment only visitors.
There is a short walk, 10-15 minutes, to the main shopping/eating centre, as the apartments are in a quiet residential area which was ideal for us.
There are some cats about but they are no trouble and friendly if you want to pet them and in good condition too.
Great holiday and great time had by all.

We arrived at the apartments late at night and were greeted by friendly staff offering cool drinks. Having only booked a studio we were delighted to discover that we had had our room upgraded free of charge to a one bedroomed apartment. The room was very spacious, clean and maintained. The maid cleaned our room and emptied our bins almost daily.

Throughout our stay all of the staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem to them. It was out first visit to Paphos and we were given lots of information by Maria on what to do in the area and where to go in the resort - it was only a 10 minute walk down to the sea front and you passed many bars, restaurants and shops along the way. Although the apartments are in a residential area we this to be a blessing as you are situated away from the main nightlife area.

We spent most of our time around the pool area, there were always plenty of comfortable sunbeds with umbrellas - this meant we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to get a sunbed...We did also spend some time down at the sea front. Having already stayed at Protaras on a previous holiday we were already aware about the the beaches or lack of them in the resort - this wasn't a problem as down on the sea front there are plenty sun loungers and umbrellas for hire - with access via steps into the water.

We've had an absolute brilliant holiday the resort of Paphos had everything we needed and will certainly be returning in the not to distant future.

Thank you to the management and staff at the King Jason for making us feel very welcome. We will definitely return for another holiday.
