I was invited here as part of a group with a fixed menu. I ate the fish menu, which was excellent. the wines offered were very good as well. The service was good , but the room was a bit too hot. Overall a very nice experience.

I went to Le Sud with my partner on a public holiday and they had only 1 special lunch menu. Their website the day before indicated a lunch menu of around 32 euro. Although initially slightly put off by the set price of 64,50 euro per person, which is double of what we had expected, we were nevertheless keen to experience the appealing looking menu. It was a 4-course lunch menu whereby after the amuse we both opted for a starter with fish. My partner’s main was the fish and mine the veal. As I’m not a blue-cheese lover they quickly offered a fruit salad with sorbet ice-cream before the desert which was an éclaire deliciously made up. With my coffee came (two times) 3 complementary petit fours: a lemon meringue, a small cupcake and a bonbon. All dishes were balanced, beautifully made up and tasted delicious. However, the with the coffee offered petit fours were too appealing to resist but made us just a tad too full. I found the drinks overpriced with 500ml still water at almost 6 euro and a coffee for 5 euro and a glass of wine at 10 euro. All in all a delicious lunch but slightly on the pricy side.

Very nice fine dining. Should have a Michelin star but doesn't? Service was very friendly and efficient. Rooftop bar is great for cocktails before and after. Tasing menu was excellent. It was the least expensive wine pairing I think I have ever had in a French Restaurant, €35 for at least 5 glasses(I think we had 6)? Outstanding!

Dining room is roomy and comfortable, very romantic but not too formal. See in kitchen where the chefs whip up your delights.
The tasting menu was around €100 per person, about 1/2 to 1/3 of other same quality restaurants in Luxembourg. Highly recommended!

My partner had booked this restaurant for my birthday dinner. The table was booked for 20-00 hours. This was our first time in Luxembourg and the restaurant is a bit out of the centre so we realised we would be a little late and called the restaurant. The very friendly girl at the other end of the phone said it was absolutely not a problem if we are 15-20 mins late.
We arrived at 20-20 and was shown our table. We were offered an aperitif and ordered a glass of champagne. We were asked if we wanted water (“still or sparkling?”)...I almost always insist on tap water but they repeated the question so I guess tap water was too downmarket for them to serve so we opted for still.
After that we sat for 30 mins!! No one came to take our order...we finished our champagne and sat there while being completely ignored!
After half an hour...I called the manager and explained why we were leaving...and he just shrugged!!! I did not hear any apologies or explanation from him! They did not charge us for the champagne but I left €10 for the waiter who had brought our aperitifs.
This is the first time in Europe that I’ve walked out of a restaurant.

The lunchtime menu and wine were good value for money, considering the quality.

The only flaw was that the waiter thought the Spanish ham came from Italy, but everything else was spot on

Great location for a lunch meeting
