We have tried the diners menu and it was absolutely breathtaking! The whole set consists of 6-courses and each dish was made to perfection. It consisted of the following; the butternut cream soup, pan-fried scallop appetizer, veal juice risotto and then venison fillet / wild meagre as the mains and followed by a selection of cheese, a masterpiece dessert of coco mousse with pineapples and flakey cinnamon crumbles and the mignardises to end a perfect dinner. Everything was flawless.
Aside from the food, the restaurant floor has a beautiful decoration and is almost built like a theater, where the stage is the kitchen itself (the restaurant has an open plan kitchen where you can see the masters at work). The building overall is very tastefully decorated and shows class. The waiters know their offerings very well and our waiter has chosen the perfect wine to accompany our dinner.
Unfortunately, on our day of visit, the terrace was closed for a private event so we could not see the top floor and enjoy the views of Luxembourg, which we hear is equally captivating.
All in all, Le Sud easily has easily provided one of the top 10 dining experiences of my life. Highly recommended.
