“Amazing overall experience”
Review of LVB Restaurant - CLOSED

LVB Restaurant
Price range: US$52 - US$64
Description: There are three set menus to choose from, and they change on a weekly basis. The cuisine presents elements of novelty while still maintaining a familiar Mediterranean feel. There’s the “Chef’s recommended 7-course menu”, the “5-course menu”, and the “Vegetarian menu”. Each item on the menu is described briefly, but you’ll need to wait for the dishes themselves to uncover each of their nuances. It’s like knowing the general plot points of an operetta, but being surprised by the unique characteristics of each cast member’s performance. Moreover, each menu features a variety of very different dishes, which makes for an entertaining and diverse culinary trip . Textures range from creamy to firm, and rough to smooth, while different tastes play together in a cleverly orchestrated balance. All is assembled as a delightful work of art, with vibrant colours framed by large white plates for maximum visual appeal. The portions are petite, but as the meal progresses and reaches its conclusion

I have been wanting to visit this Restaurant for ages and yesterday was finally the day!
Entering the restaurant we were greeted and sat down by professional staff. From then onward everything that happened was done with so much thought and care that I was amazed with something as easy as the bread. We all went for a 7 course menu which I would highly recommend because the price is more then worth the whole experience.
All courses were literally looking like pieces of art and they all tasted like things I've never tried before, blowing me away with the perfect texture/flavor and proportions.
It's clear to see that they've put a lot of effort in offering the whole package.
They even made a birthday card for my friend signed by the whole staff!
I don't write a lot of reviews but after the first 10 min in this place I knew I wanted to share this with others.
Well done to the chef and the rest of the staff for an unforgettable experience!
Only thing I would advice then is to set the toilet light sensor timer a bit longer ;)
10/10

Let's be honest... after one eats around the world and in places with 3 Michelin stars to the cozy hole-in-the-wall, it's hard to be surprised when dining out. But LVB was able to provide some pleasant surprises!

The menu looks like it changes often, so no need to describe the experience dish by dish. Rather it better to describe what the chef achieves and the overall experience.

The space is small, modern, and fits nicely in the vibe of Valletta.

I would say all the dishes were well thought out. I was not a fan of the fish course, but not because there was anything wrong with it, just not my thing. However I compliment the chef on the rest of the menu, multiple courses had surprise flavors and textures without the pretension of trying to be clever. And I think this is where LVB stands out.

This is a very small space. So if you are planning to go, make sure you plan ahead and get a reservation.

If LVB doesn't get a Michelin star in the next year or so, I would be really really surprised.

My recommendation, eat there ASAP! And then you can brag to your foodie friends how you were ahead of the curve!

We had the 7 course menu, each and every one of the courses felt that it was created with love and pride, we will definitely return since we were told the menu changes every 2 weeks can’t wait to explore a whole new menu.
One of the best places in Malta

Long have I waited for a true fine dining experience here in Malta and finally LvB has answered the call.

The restaurant is quite small and has a particular retro themed setup which is most suitable for adults. Thus, I could enjoy the food in a peaceful surrounding without the risk of being disturbed by a lot of neighbouring tables.

Each course was accompanied by a truly detailed explanation of what is on the plate by the waiter who was always ready to help out and very attentive that no glass remained empty.

The portions are small and overall the price is relatively on the high side but that's expected for a fine dining experience.

The attention to detail in every plate is impeccable which can only be compared to a Michelin star acclaimed restaurant. However, the highlight of the experience was the mix of tastes that each course offered that seamlessly blended together forming a superior gastronomic tasting.

Highly recommended for those who want to ante up their definition of fine dining.
