Me and family went away with my wife's parents and grandparents her grandfather is Maltese when we arrived the reception staff was very rude too us we got to our room our air conditioning wasn't working we called reception the maintenance man turned up and said it should be working now, nope blowing hot air around the room we had our 7 year old 5 years and 11 month old we called reception four times that day and they said it had been fixed every time I demanded the manager come to our room the second day he didn't seem botherd until my wife's grandfather spoke to him he then gave us a portable ac unit which wasn't practical with 2 extension leads running across the room with out balcony doors open for the hose defeated the object if u ask me but we dealt with it we aslo had to keep emptying the unit this may seem really petty but it has real impact on your mood on holiday as we went down to the lobby we saw ac engineers working in the hotel must have been a long term problem ,the lifts were a huge pain they were forever breaking down and my wifes grandparebts had to walk down 11 floors one day at 86 and 87enough rant lol. food was absolutely lovely staff were helpful but we soon took advantage of my wife's grandad they treated us a lot better knowing we was with him take goggles the outdoor pools are all salt water pools slight sting in the eyes lol but it is really refreshing the hotel didn't cater well for small children with buggies we enjoyed Malta as a place but we would never stay here again

Just returned from a short break at the Preluna and must say we were very happy with the hotel.we stayed in a inland view room with no balcony but as ours was at the end of a passage we actually had fantastic sea view.we were probably lucky in this so if want a guaranteed sea view pay the extra .We found the meals very good.the buffet restaurant is on the first floor with sea views.staff in the restaurants and elsewhere in the hotel very friendly and helpful.spa area can be accesses by your room card and the pool ,jacussi and steam room are free to guests.there is a small charge for the gym.towel rental is 60 cents.
bus stop across the road from hotel for valetta or on hotel side for st julians, bugibba etc.a day ticket costs 2.60 euro.Nice wide promenade takes you all the way to st julians.
Will certainly visit in the future.

I have been to Malta many times in the past 48 years and stayed at different hotels most of the time. I must say that Preluna Hotel is the best one i visited. Its not just because of the hotel itself and lovely view and surroundings. Its the staff and management who makes it all special. Really pleasant and friendly and obliging. And of course not forgetting the lovely breakfast and delicious food served every day. With compliments to the kitchen and serving personell (Hello Jenny) And a big hug to Jannika (reception) and Nadine and other staff and managers and of course not forgetting the ladies who keep the hotel rooms lovely and clean Thank you. I recommend you to everyone i know here in Gothenburg Sweden. Lots of love from Maria .

My boyfriend and i stayed here for 4 nights over Valentines weekend two years ago...i'm a bit late writing the review.

The hotel was good value and situated on the sea front. It could probably do with some updating but overall it was good for the price we paid.

The bedroom was nice and we had a seaview, like some other guests mentioned i would definitely recommend this. The staff were really helpful and friendly.

We stayed there on a B&B basis, there was a good selection at the buffet. It was pretty cheap to eat out in Malta and we liked to go somewhere different each night so we never had a dinner in the hotel.

The hotel was a very short walk from Sliema, probably about 10 mins. There were some bars located close to the hotel and a couple of restaurants. There was also a TGI Fridays about 5 minutes away.
The bus stop was close to the hotel, we went out to St Julians for the day to have a look around and once in the evening, the bars were a lot more lively there.

It was nice to come back to the hotel after a days sight seeing and use the spa facilities. We also used the hot tub on the roof a couple of times which was good, even though it was a bit cold outside in February!

This hotel faces the Mediterranean & has a great pool on the Mediterranean. The breakfast is superb & the staff is amazing. Only drawback...no parking.

Room Tip: Choose the sea view room for suire.
