Hotel could do with a little tlc outside but inside, no complaints. We had B&B, room very comfortable, tiny balcony with side sea view but it didn't matter as we were not in the room much - too busy out and about exploring. Plenty of choice for breakfast - cereal, fruit, meats, cheese, bacon, eggs, beans, pastries with the usual fruit juices (although I always think they are watered down) and hot drinks. Reception staff helpful when we asked the odd question.

The Diplomat Hotel is in a great location, the staff are very helpful and friendly,
The food is great with plenty of choice, Rooms are spacious and clean and maid service daily, free coffee and tea facilities in your room, would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The front of house staff are friendly and helpful. Our bedroom (and bathroom) was clean and well made each day. Free wifi worked well.
Breakfast was a disaster - food poor tasting when it was available - often queues for fresh or top-ups. Coffee machine broke down twice. Food staff very average.

The room we had with 3 adults was comfortable and roomy. No carpey in the room which was great and a small balcony. The hotel has a decent sized swimming pool. A freshening up of the decr would be nice.
The breakfast was not large but still had a good selection. We tried the buffet dinner one night which had a selection of foods. These menus are published so you know what is on offer.
The hotel location is handy. There are bus stops wothon easy walking distance. We walked to The Strand, St Julians and if you don't mind walking to Msida.
Staff were friendly although we did miss arssage as reception did not who we were.

This hotel was advertised as 4 star but is only a 3 star. The hotel needs modernising. The rooms are clean but out of date. I couldn't find anybody that thought it was good.
The staff are all very nice. Breakfast and dinner are really basic, sometimes cold and sometimes they even run out of vegetables at dinner.
One plus was that they did provide some Gluten Free food and were aware of the requirements for Coeliacs.
I don't think we will be back.
