If you are looking for great tapas, this is a place to go. We shared different tapas at La Vida, the corquetas were really nice, and the puplo was extra ordinary. Cannot remember of a better one in my life. And the Rose was very good as well. Everything is made freshly, so do not be in a hurry if you go there, take your time, it is worth it.

This Tapas bar set back from the sea is an ideal place to wind down/catch up with friends. The concept of Tapas is absolutely ideal as people don't all have to arrive together as you can continue ordering dishes as often as you like and the late arrivals can join in and share or more! Sometimes of course you have a dish you just want for yourself!! The food here is spot on fresh (a prawn tastes like a prawn) and the owners' sourcing of authentic ingredients is an additional example of their quest for striving quality,We all remarked that in fact there was not one dish we wouldn't have again, and the menu changes daily so it's hard to keep up!!Not to mention the "specials". Along with food there is of course an extensive select wine list and Sangria. Not being big desert eaters, we did however delve into a speciality Portugues Baba and also the Hot chocolate Brownie. Coffee here is as well excellent, and this place is in such an easy accessible area for all making it brilliant for a friends' catchup and easy transport links if needed.

There are a few things to note before reading the reviews criticising La Vida. There is only a small kitchen with one/two chefs, quite a few tables and it's in a busy location.

We went on a Saturday night around 8 and La Vida was already getting full, but we fancied tapas and a drink. The waitresses looked after us fantastically and the food was sublime.

I will admit it took some time for the food to come out, but really this made it nicer and we were more able to appreciate each dish we had ordered. Every dish clearly showed care and attention to detail and I could not possibly criticise the quality in any way! The desserts were just as fresh and lovingly prepared as the tapas.

Well worth a visit; just remember- chill out, have a drink and a conversation and the food will come to you :)

Went with two friends to this little small place after getting it recommended. I ordered Three dishes and after about 15-20min first dish was served. Waited 30-35min and asked when will the rest come. 10-15min second dish came. Sitting waiting for the last and after more than 1,5h from when the order was placed I was told the third dish could not be served - they were out of it. So how come it was not informed about it when the order was placed that it was not possible to order it to begin with?!? Perhaps they had a bad day or something when we were there unfortunately, either way hugely disappointed.
