Just returned from a 7 night stay with Charles, Anna and family. If you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday then this is the place to stay. We had room no. 3 and there was no problem with the size at all. The rooms are cleaned everyday including fresh towels if required – appreciated! Breakfast was perfect for us – hams, cheeses, fresh fruit and fresh bread. Only one day was spent by the pool side and as we were the only guests enjoying it that day it was a haven of tranquillity (not that any of the guests were noisy anyway!). I would recommend a car to fully appreciate what the area has to offer and also to visit some amazing restaurants, our favourites being Fontanella in Mdina (for the views), the Grotto in Rabat and Diar Il-Bniet in Dingli (be warned, the portions are huge). The little tour which Charles does of the local area and his vineyard is special, in fact I noticed all the guests participated and seemed to thoroughly enjoy it. Highly recommended.

Room tip: Room 3 is in a separate section to those facing the breakfast room so quieter

This is a very special B&B and we can recommend it highly. All arrangements went smoothly and Charles, Anna and family were very gracious hosts. It was a delight to come back each afternoon after sightseeing excursions to enjoy the sparkling pool.

We last visited Maple Farm four years ago and were happy to return, we didn't really expect the hosts to remember us. They clearly did which was wonderful and typical of their brilliant business. Again we were treated as old friends and totally enjoyed the peaceful, relaxing environment. We appreciated their help and advice for restaurants, beaches and places to visit (and the vineyard trip, of course). Thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool as the weather was very warm indeed during our stay, but the pool and garden area is just perfect. Thank you to all the family.

We felt very lucky to get one of the 7 rooms at Maple Farm as we booked at the very last minute. Charles was very helpful from the start, responding superquick to emails and recommending great car hire - (the car was delivered to the b&b stress free the next morning) He also took us on a fascinating tour of the surrounding area and his delightful vineyard and olive trees. His wife Anna is equally gracious and hospitable - together they make this an outstanding b&b. It is quite small but air conditioned and impeccably clean. The breakfast is fantastic - particularly the soft boiled eggs and peaches. There are many guide books (and novels) you can borrow - and Charles is a fountain of local knowledge, he speaks impeccable English having lectured in the UK in marine biology for many years. He advised us of some fascinating unmarked caves near some cart tracks nearby (Clapham Junction). The B&B is close to Mdina , the famous walled citadel or silent city - it’s actually not at all silent but really busy in the day - but a magical place to go in the evening.
Charles and Anna have created a wonderful oasis of the large garden, with plenty of seating, and a welcome swimming pool. It is their charming hospitality though which makes this b&b so memorable.

The maple farm b&b is a family business established 6 years ago on the family land in Rabat.
The owners (Charles and Anna) are a Maltese couple weary warm and welcoming.
They will assist you with any question you have and will do restaurant reservation for you if needed.
The rooms are nice, very clean and equipped with all necessary for few days vacation.
The maple farm is a compound with a swimming pool, seating places and a parking place.
I very much recommend this place and hope to get back.
