We felt very lucky to get one of the 7 rooms at Maple Farm as we booked at the very last minute. Charles was very helpful from the start, responding superquick to emails and recommending great car hire - (the car was delivered to the b&b stress free the next morning) He also took us on a fascinating tour of the surrounding area and his delightful vineyard and olive trees. His wife Anna is equally gracious and hospitable - together they make this an outstanding b&b. It is quite small but air conditioned and impeccably clean. The breakfast is fantastic - particularly the soft boiled eggs and peaches. There are many guide books (and novels) you can borrow - and Charles is a fountain of local knowledge, he speaks impeccable English having lectured in the UK in marine biology for many years. He advised us of some fascinating unmarked caves near some cart tracks nearby (Clapham Junction). The B&B is close to Mdina , the famous walled citadel or silent city - it’s actually not at all silent but really busy in the day - but a magical place to go in the evening.
Charles and Anna have created a wonderful oasis of the large garden, with plenty of seating, and a welcome swimming pool. It is their charming hospitality though which makes this b&b so memorable.

The maple farm b&b is a family business established 6 years ago on the family land in Rabat.
The owners (Charles and Anna) are a Maltese couple weary warm and welcoming.
They will assist you with any question you have and will do restaurant reservation for you if needed.
The rooms are nice, very clean and equipped with all necessary for few days vacation.
The maple farm is a compound with a swimming pool, seating places and a parking place.
I very much recommend this place and hope to get back.

Together with our two daughters aged 6 and 8, my wife and I enjoyed fantastic holidays in Malta and Maple farm: tasteful breakfast, nice decorated and well-equipped room and bathroom, cosy garden and nice big swimming pool… Thank you Anna and Charles for the hospitality, real useful advice how to visit the island and friendship!

We stayed for two nights and the previous great reviews were very much justified. The standard of service was set high from even my first email. Charles and Anna without a doubt continued throughout to make every effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

The room and en-suite could be considered small but was more than ample. It was clean, tidy and included the essentials. The family regularly checked if we had everything and if they could help any further. After a good nights sleep the buffet breakfast provided was extensive and just lovely. We really enjoyed the locally sourced fresh fruit.

Do plan some time to stay in the garden and enjoy the pool. It is an oasis and a very relaxing place. The family are friendly and provided a delightful escape from the world.

Thank you Charles, Anna and family.
