It was dirty and poorly kept.
Gritty floor (despite no shoes policy).
Soap scum and mold in all three showers.
Filthy rag left by the kitchen sink for days.
Dirty dishes in cupboard - dishwasher full and no soap to wash.
A room left unmade up for three days after a guest left.
Dirty table cloth on kitchen table.
Dusty window ledges.

Unsafe for a child as there were wall switches without covers (left off after recent painting of walls in the public area).

The so-called 'family' was unseen - only a young boy who turned up once to collect payment for our room (but he was an hour late after arranging the time by email).

This was very expensive for what they offer. There are better choices in the neighborhood.

We had two wonderful nights staying at the Konrad's Guesthouse. It's a very cozy house with nice and clean rooms. There is also a well equipped kitchen. The owner are very kind and helpful. And the guesthouse is in the best location to explore Reykjavik. Thank you for the wonderful time, kind regards

It's not a fancy place, but it is very comfortable, clean and located a block from the Church and an easy walk to all the sites and restaurant. The owners are really nice and let me use their parking spot free of charge. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: check out Loki's by the Church at the corner of your street for authentic breakfast!

The location couldn't be beat, central and walk-able to almost everything in the city. It was neat, clean, and spacious. Plenty of bedding and towels provided. The owners were so kind and helpful, providing suggestions for restaurants, sights, and shopping. It's adorable and feels like a home. I was unfortunate to have an injury while traveling, I was a first-time solo traveler, upset, unsure what to do - The owner went into immediate "Mom-Mode" went over and above to help, get me what I needed, took me out to dinner with her daughter, and turned what could have been a show-stopper into a fabulous experience and a great story to come home with. I'm forever grateful to her kindness and cannot highly enough recommend this guesthouse!

Room Tip: Stayed on the ground floor - semi-private entrance to come and go, separate from the main entrance.

A lovely guesthouse! No breakfast but the price was really cheap. Clean rooms. Very good location! The staff was very understanding when our credit card didn't work properly at first and our payment was little late.
