We stopped in here after arriving in Reykjavik very early in the morning. We were disappointed that there was no seating, but not at all disappointed in the delicious pastries we got for breakfast as well as the amazing loaf of bread that we bought to enjoy during our two days in Reykjavik. All of their options looked delicious and we were quite happy with the ones that we sampled. Definitely worth a stop! Just don't plan to eat there as there is nowhere to sit.

Went early before a trip to grab some nibbles as they open at 6am.

The menus are all in Icelandic so may want to scrub up a little on yours or just point to what you want. We bought two rhubarb oatcakes, one pan au chocolate and two cinnamon swirls.

After a long day snowmobiling these went down a treat! The cinnamon swirls are incredible and are definitely a must! Closely followed by the oatcakes with the chocolate coming in a distant last.

Good customer service great selection and the swirls are a must if visiting!

After getting a recommendation from our hotel around the corner, we lined up with the rest of Reykjavik in the tiny and charming bakery and tried to pick what we wanted to try from all of the amazing and interesting looking and smelling items on display. We watched the baker as he was making cinnamon rolls right in front of us so that is what we had to have. And it was an excellent pick. Delicious, and perfect with a cup of coffee also from the bakery. Stop here first and enjoy your goodies as you explore the neighborhood!

Read about Braud and Co. in one of the blogs we found before our trip and knew we had to visit. It is just down the street from Hallgrimskirkja (the big church), so definitely go if you're visiting the church. We could actually see the bakery from the lookout tower in the church, thanks to the colourful storefront. We purchased two small loaves of bread to make sandwiches with at our guesthouse (tip: buy your meat/cheese/other lunch materials from Bonus for a more cost effective meal). The bread was soft and flavourful, even the next day when we used it for leftovers. We also bought two vanilla caramel "croissants" for a treat right then, at the suggestion of the lovely man behind the counter. I don't have the words to describe how rich and decadent they were. Braud and Co. definitely gives Paris a run for it's money when it comes to the pastries! A great place to stop for a snack while taking in Reykjavik!

Tried the cinnamon rolls, a rhubarb and chocolate Danish and bread, all of it was soooo good. Worth the wait if there is a line up.
