The hotel was just as we remembered! Really appreciated the shuttle to/from the airport. Great place to stay when traveling!! We will definitely continue to recommend it to all of our friends. We had a ground floor room this time. Lowering the blinds is a must as the sun was still up at mid-night. Opening the windows let in a welcome breeze.

Room Tip: Don't forget to lower the mini-blinds!

We stayed at the Berg at both ends of our summer trip. First was upon late arrival at KEF before embarking upon several days in Iceland. Second was a stopover as we returned to the US from a week in the Netherlands. Everything was as advertised and excellent in all respects. My only complaint, the one that keeps me from giving five stars, is that given some of the very late-night arrivals and very early-morning departures, there can be more hall noise than one might expect overnight; doors closing, suitcases wheeling, things like that. It awakened us or kept us awake several times. That said, it is certainly possible, if not entirely likely, that given the KEF flight schedules, one would encounter similar situations at just about any KEF hotel. So even given my one note of concern, I would happily choose to stay there again. It is a very well-run hotel.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the busiest downstairs hall locations

Comfortable bed with shower in room. Upstairs and downstairs rooms. No elevator. Good complimentary breakfast available as early as 3:00am. Somewhat expensive. Will pick up and drop off at airport with emailed arrangements for no extra charge. Less than 10 minute drive from KEF. Restaurant down the hill within walking distance. Overlooking interesting “giant cave” that is fun to visit. Friendly staff. They have a luggage storage which we used since we were returning to Iceland later in our trip.

Room Tip: Upstairs and downstairs rooms available. No elevator.

After staying in 5 other hotels in Iceland, I wish they all could have been as good as Hotel Berg. The staff, the rooms, the breakfast, the common areas - all were as perfect as they could be.

They have free coffee/tea/espresso, etc. in the lobby, and have a wonderful sitting area with a view of the harbor. It's a wonderful place to stay.

They also have free pickup/dropoff at the airport, about 10 minutes away.

For some reason, most of the hotels in Iceland seem to lack a sense of customer service. I experienced this first-hand, and were told this by several hotel workers. Maybe it's the fact that there are more tourists in Iceland than they can handle, maybe it's because most hotels "import" their workers from outside Iceland. But, whatever it is, Hotel Berg GETS IT RIGHT!

I stayed at this hotel for three nights in total either side of a fly fishing trip to Greenland. It is well located five minutes from Keflavik airport with a free shuttle provided by management ,pick up and drop off. It is friendly, comfortable and well- priced for what is still an expensive country to visit.Breakfast is best described as continental, and provided from very early in the morning for flights departing when we should all still be fast asleep.A little noisy in the night as you can't help but hear guests arriving and departing at all hours, but comfortable beds allow you to sink back into sleep quite easily. Free tea and coffee 24 hrs is provided at reception, and there is plenty of reading material available in the lounge area.It is a 20 minute journey by taxi to the Blue Lagoon( a must- do)but an expensive one! Tip- share, as the price for one is the same for a car- full! I would definitely stay there again, it is in a lovely position overlooking the harbour, and there is a great cliff walk across the road from the hotel.Recommended !
