Very nice hotel with a good staff. Our room was very nice and clean. We sleep here at our arrival and also one day before our departure. The Hotel is located in a good place, only 10 minutes from the airport and in front of a nice harbour. We suggest it for the cleanliness and the helpfulness of the owner.

Room tip: Nice suite in front of the harbour.

Deserves all the high review ratings it gets. It is so close to the airport - and yet in a lovely sea view area (you may not see the sea from your room though). Rooms are excellent. Breakfast is pretty basic but includes make it yourself waffles - which is always fun!

Room tip: If you want a sea view - you may need to phone and ask them - you do get great sunsets!

I'd read the Trip Advisor reviews and they were all so positive and Hotel Berg was true to it's reputation and didn't let me down. I arrived on 6 September, to a lovely new boutique hotel/B&B very close to the airport. It was fantastic to be picked up at 11pm, taken to a lovely hotel and not be disappointed by anything after the ridiculously long flights from Australia.

I was happy with the lovely and comfortable surroundings when I went to bed - lovely bedding, towels, great bathroom etc (proper hair dryer - hurrah!). Waking up and being greeted by lovely staff - and a great breakfast - which capped off a great stay. Fruits, waffles, cereals, teas, coffees, savoury things like meats, fish, cheese etc.. Then we went outside for a quick explore whilst waiting for our friends to collect us - a gorgeous sunny day made the surroundings even prettier. We enjoyed our stay so much, that when we got to Reykjavik on our last night & couldn't stay in the hostel we wanted to, we called Hotel Berg and came back again. This time there were 4 of us. We enjoyed the lounge area, having a few drinks, listening to music, playing guitar, enjoying the fireplace and agreeing that we all had a most fabulous time in Iceland. The breakfast starts extra early for those on the 9am flights with car hires to sort out before hand. Perfect start and end to my Icelandic holiday.

Charming new place, by a lovely little harbour. We stayed there for one night only, at the very end of our trip to Iceland. Not cheap but the suite we had booked was nicely decorated and spacious (on two levels). Very friendly and helpful staff. Only a 10 minutes’ walk to the main street in Keflavik (restaurants, groceries, boutiques, etc.). Free transfer to the airport (5 minutes) and bonus (!) you can also get a DVD player in your room to watch movies (selection is not bad). We felt right at home!

We stayed at Berg hotel the day before we were due to leave Iceland. It is perfectly located if you need to be near the airport for early or late departure/arrival, but it is also in a beautiful location if you want to explore this quiet harbour town.

Bedrooms were nice and warm, with comfortable mattresses and pillows and spic and span bathroom. Free wi-fi, complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate in the lounge area. Full of character with quirky, yet tasteful decorations.

Great value for money and the friendliest staff (including their welcoming dogs). Excellent selection for breakfast (including Sakir, Icelandic yogurt). Berg is in a beautiful spot by the harbour, we were staying in a room with a view of the little yachts.

The children loved visiting the old shack where the giant troll who looks after the harbour lives, but we were a little bit scared when we heard the giant's footsteps so we ran off quickly and went for dinner at the bistro on the other side of the harbour - splendid!

Room tip: Don't miss the Blue Lagoon if you have a chance
