The location of Lapland Hotels Tampere is very good. It is situated on a side street behind the railway station. The hotel is located near Sorsapuisto Park, Moomin Museum and some good restaurants. They lend bicycles but there is only very short walking distance to the city center.
We had a stylish Deluxe King Room on the fifth floor. Every floor has an own theme from Lapland. The theme of our floor was Christmas Land and a big photo of Santa Claus greeted us in the lobby. We had a big television, a safety deposit box, a water kettle, a Cupsolo coffee maker, bathrobes, slippers, an iron and an ironing board in our room. Our bathroom with a bathtub was quite spacious. The quality of bathroom cosmetics was excellent. The Arctic Pine trademark includes high quality products: hand soap, shower gel, shampoo, bubble bath, conditioner and body lotion. I especially loved the fragrance of hand soap: very pleasant pine forest. I almost addicted to it. There was a shower on the bathtub and it was easy to take a shower without watering the whole bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable.
I almost gave the rating of five stars to this hotel. However, the bathroom looked a bit old and the air-conditioning system wasn't very functional. There was a self-adjustable temperature controller next to the bed in the room. We had a heatwave in Finland and the temperature of the room...The location of Lapland Hotels Tampere is very good. I almost gave the rating of five stars to this hotel. However, the bathroom looked a bit old and the air-conditioning system wasn't very functional. There was a self-adjustable temperature controller next to the bed in the room. We had a heatwave in Finland and the temperature of the room was quite OK. It could have been a bit colder. There was another controller in the vestibule. However, we didn't know, what it was. Was it the controller of air-conditioning, heating or the underfloor heating system of the bathroom? There could be a sign next to the controller. We could hear some noise from the street and other rooms but that didn't disturb our sleep quality.
Breakfast was excellent. It wasn't very abundant but they had some very interesting specialties, e.g. black sausage made of reindeer, spruce sprout green smoothie and blueberry juice. They also had an omelette station. The cook baked fresh omelets. I chose an omelet with smoked reindeer and cheese. The breakfast room is very cozy. There are interesting details from Lapland there. Besides, they have a summer terrace. So you can enjoy your breakfast outside if the weather is good. It was also very nice that there wasn't too crowded at the breakfast.
The restaurant of the hotel is named Dabbal. It is one of the most interesting restaurants in Tampere.More
