Visited Toivolan Vanha Piha to do some Christmas window shopping and was impressed with the quality of the handicrafts and the old characteristics of the yard architecture. The cafe is a must visit place, really enjoyed the atmosphere there. Extra points for having two reindeer at the yard for Christmas!

Very charming place to visit, not very large but gives a good idea of old times in the town. Easily accessible: the car park just on the other side of street is perfect,

If you want to travel back in the time, this is the place where you need to go. The owner of this place restored a group of old Finnish houses and kept the spirit of the older times with this very nice place. Restaurant is really nice with "lounas" and lot's of salty pies and amazing cakes. In the houses, you also find some little shops where you buy hand made clothing, jewels and many others souvenirs or decorations. You also have one museum house rebuilded and decorated exactly how it was. If you are around, don't miss it! It's precious.

Handicrafts placed in the yards and houses of old wooden houses. It's great that Jyväskylä has saved these houses.

It is almost Easter time.
Lambs and lamas at Toivolan piha, arts & grafts and delicasies.
The sun shines and it is nice see handcrafts and people. Take a break and a cup of coffee.
