We visited this restaurant a few days ago whilst visiting in a cruise ship. It looked good from the outside and did not disappoint from the inside. The sandwiches we had were some of the best we have tasted as was the excellent coffee. Really lovely and helpful staff. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

This is a must when in Helsinki. It is a splendid 19th century birdcage of a structure housing a classic bar , restaurant and light fare cafeteria style. It sits right at the foot of the famous esplanade. Walk Pat and it will beckon you

Went for dinner twice, service and food excellent on both occasions. Pleasure to eat outside on the terrace on warm evening, busy at weekends but was able to obtain a table without booking. Really good dishes well presented. Recommend beef as starter and the salmon for main, would definitely return, recommended.

The customer service was truly good we felt veey welcommed and even though the restaurant was full we got seated very quickly. We ordered two steaks and wanted both of them medium rare, the other one was medium rare and the other one was medium plus. Potatos were dry and floury. The overall taste of the food was alright. Could visit again but trying something else next time. Props to the staff though. 3/5

Just along from the harbour nestles this wonderful restaurant. A restaurant of times gone by. So easy to imagine the writers, poets and artists of old Finland sitting there with a cup of coffee thinking about their next piece of work. We popped in for a coffee and inside was going back generations as it hadn’t changed. Great service from wonderful, helpful, staff and the coffee was delicious. I managed to avoid buying one of their beautiful pastries. Next time, maybe. Lovely selection of various offerings of main meals which were being purchased at an alarming rate. This proves how good they were. Looking forward to our next visit to Helsinki and this restaurant will be a definite return visit.
