We had a delicious spaghetti vongole and cozze (clams and mussels), which I have to say are amongst the best I have ever tasted, considering also that I lived in Italy for more than 25 years. In addition to the quality of the food, the generosity of the portions and the friendliness of the staff are remarkable. Really, really recommended!!
Lovely Italian neighborhood restaurant. The pizzas were delicious and enjoyed by all. The pasta Bolognese was very good. One of the group had the Carbonera and thought it was just fair. We would go back again. Make a reservation.
We arrived late, it was hot and it had been a long day. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, and the sweet waitress first tried to entice us to try our luck elsewhere with information about a long wait. We were equally tired and chose to stay. It was a good choice! An excellent bottle of red wine for the three of the company and a - large - glass of equally good white wine for the fourth, as well as an ample basket of home-baked bread free of charge as a snack made the wait short, and the restaurant's pasta alla vongole, its pasta all' amatriciana and its The pasta carbonara was totally worth the wait! When we had finished eating, the kitchen was (almost) closed, but we were not allowed to leave without an excellent cup of coffee and a very generous piece of tiramisu. The neighborhood is not that charming and it is a small humble place to look at, but the service is really nice and the kitchen is very competent. We would love to come again!
Long time waited meeting with my good retired friend was a set-up for our dinner and we wanted to meet in good Italian restaurant as we both like Italian food. Nerone was perfect for that: very polite service (in english, no problem for us), fantastic food and good drinks. Not to mention super tiramisu. We spent there 4 hours and managed to talk through all our topics in our meeting agenda list. Very nice experience and we will remember it!
