Fantastic find in Helsinki. We wanted a local flavor and picked KuuKuu based on reviews, and certainly its a winner! The salmon soup was outstanding, we shared an appetizer bowl, which was perfect to give us a taste! We then had the fish of the day, wonderful and the plate of the day, bratwurst… both were super delicious…. Great bottle of Rose Cremant to go with it all. Service was fantastic, could not have been friendlier or more pleasant… we loved it! Definitely recommend.

This modern Scandinavian restaurant is a place where you can have a dinner/lunch solo, or with your partner/friend/family. With the variety of options including a full vegan menu, there is some good food for everyone.

I got an asparagus salad with goat cheese and fish of the day which was pike perch served with cauliflower puree and grilled cabbage. Overall taste was awesome, food was incredibly tasty. I enjoyed every moment of having them and really appreciate them.

Service quality was good as well, staff was really debonair and helpful. When I asked for non-alcoholic meal options, the waitress also mentioned that my main course choice also contains ham pieces, which I don't prefer. Otherwise, it would be hard to guess for me. One other solution they can do is listing the ingredients, but right now with the help of staff seems like everything works smoothly.

I definitely suggest this place, reserve a table and enough time, go and enjoy the good food and nice atmosphere.

We came here for lunch wanting to experience true cuisine from Finland, and that’s what we got. We tried three different plates; salmon soup (came with this quirky delicious bread they called Archipelago bread), goat cheese salad and pike loaf. Wow!!!! The flavors, the textures. Just perfect. Thankfully my partner took a picture before we started devouring. Thank you KuuKuu. Your staff also painted a smile on our face :)

KuuKuu has a great vibe which you can feel as soon as you enter. The ever smiling staff are quick to welcome you. Getting a table in the afternoon is no problem on a walk-in basis but it’s probably a good idea to reserve for dinner time.
Their salmon soup is super tasty and it comes in soup or main course size. Creamy and with perfectly cooked potato and salmon pieces, it is melt in your mouth deliciousness. If ordering the main course size, then another main course is probably a bit too much but fortunately there is also a great choice of desserts and the honey mousse with almond and buckthorn juice was a great sweet and somewhat sour choice.

Cosy family restaurant perfect for lunch or dinner. Choice of wine. Kids menu. Great location. Tasty. Highly recommend.
