Not the same as the rest; it has its own personality. Feels like visiting a home for a bit of good food.

I have visited Casa Italia several times. The lasagne and paninis are by far the best in town. I truly recommend this small and symphatic trattoria.
This is a real gem of a restaurant/wine bar. Went here three times during my stay in Helsinki, either for a glass of wine, a small bite or dinner with friends. Food and wine is great and the staff amazing.
This was one of our worst Italian restaurant dinner experiences so far.
First of all the restaurant is very small, you have to sit shoulder to shoulder with other guests. This could have been okey if it wasn't for the temperature that was not far away from a Finnish sauna and guests including us where dripping sweat all over the place. Our reservation was 9:30pm.
When it comes to the menu, you have no dishes that require any form of chef experience. Anyone could buy and serve a few cheeses and cold cuts.
The bruschetta had a half tomato slize topped with a teaspoon of pesto. My 3 year old niece would have been capable of doing a better version of a bruschetta.
The only pasta dish available was a vegetarian lasagna. This is also the only dish on the menu that could benefit from some chef experience. A total failure. Served almost cold, most likely be course its been frozen, even if the personnel denied this when asking. It was for sure not fresh but rather sweaty and looked dead. Totally uneatable.
If your hoping for some nice main courses besides the lasagna you'll be very disappointed. The only main course besides the lasagna are paninis.
I can not understand how this restaurant can have got any good reviews at all. It do not represent anything near Italian food culture. The only positive thing with this place was some of the interior and this was also the only thing that made us feel a bit of Italy.
We were walking towards our hotel and were still a bit peckish after having eaten at a too expensive place. We noticed this place and dropped in. The waiter was really happy and energetic.
We ordered one panini and a piece of tiramisu to share, and both were really good, proper Italian stuff. Actually, it was so good, we decided to come again the next day. We ordered one panini each this time and tried some other things too. The waiter remembered us and even what we had ordered the previous day.
