Dinner w/ my lovely wife without our beloved children - first time in about 2 years. So, I wanted to book a special place. And Ragu truly delivered!

Food: had the 4-course surprise menu. Very tasty. Fine dining but still 'down to earth' and sufficient quantity of food as well.
Service: friendly & relaxed but still polite. Sufficient, but not too long, explanations about food & wines.

Strong recommendation.

Ate the chef menu with wines and it was really good. Nice combination and the price point is relatively low compared to the quality. Only slight minua was acoustics but other than that excellent

The atmosphere here was excellent, not too ”uptight” considering it’s a fine dining restaurant. Service was very good! We took Ludari surprise menus, mine was vegetarian+fish. Food was great but not the best fine dining experience in Helsinki. The artichoke soup was awesome!

The biggest minus was the lack of vegetarian options on a la carte menu, though this varies. Ragu feels very trendy and chic, overall this was a great experience, I recommend this place!

The interior is cool and inviting and it sets the scene for a great experience. The waiting staff were excellent and added to the fun of the evening with great service and helpful hints. The bread tray that arrives with a variety of different butters and spreads in simply delicious. Try to resist agreeing to a top up as it will fill you up too quickly. I had the soup which was light and creamy with a tender deep fried crayfish in it. The aioli was beautifully sweet and full of flavour. I then had the reindeer which simply fell off the bone and was ably supported by beautiful beetroot and polenta. I didn’t have a dessert as I was just nicely full and satisfied.
This is a fab place for great food and a lovely lunch or dinner out in a refined setting, strongly recommend.
