This stylish boutique hotel has a central location in the design district of Punavuori.
There was a lucrative sale of '2 nights for the price of 1' for a Business Class room that is the best room category at this hotel. The price was just 89,50 per night. The sale price was not prepaid and it included breakfasts.
To our surprise, we got the specialty room called Rock'n Rose. It is a very spacious room (nearly 50 sqm) in the cellar of the Renaissance wing. The unique decor was designed by the drummer and vocalist Remu Aaltonen from Hurriganes, a Finnish rock band that was formed in the early 1970s.
Originally, I had asked for a room with a bathtub. This room had a tub and a separate shower. The bedroom is located below the street level. The living room has parked cars in front of its two windows. However, that was not a problem for us.
The biggest problem was the seating in the room. All chairs and sofas were extremely uncomfortable to sit in. The television was only watchable from the bed but luckily that was the most comfortable furniture in this room.
The most unique thing in the room was the Elvis pinball machine that could be played without an extra cost as much you wanted.
The breakfast on both mornings was very pleasant with a good food selection, friendly service, and a calm atmosphere.
For a normal price of 225 euros per night for our date, I would give only four stars because of the very uncomfortable seating in the room. For the paid price, it is absolutely five stars because of the extremely good value for money and the excellent breakfast.
