This restaurant was near our hotel and highly recommended. We were met at the door and from that moment on we felt like we were part of the family. Tonight there was a limited menu as well as a 4 course chef menu. We chose to go ala cart and the fish and beef we had were fantastic. Also wines chosen for us were delicious. We will be back next time we are in Helsinki!

Our expectations were high, having had a glowing recommendation from a local. Arrived to be greeted by modern décor and serious standards.

Waiter seemed a little distracted by what may have been the owner or a local celebrity so we probably got less attention than would be normal. At the times he did engage, he was on point with matters such as wine selection.

We went for a la carte as opposed to the set menu, which comes with a choice of wine.
Fish and chicken starters, which were ok, followed by the beef, which was hard work. Sadly not the highlight of our visit to Helsinki.

Top notch fine dining in a relaxing atmosphere. Professional and attentive staff. Great wine paring, though some of it was quite surprising (in a positive way).

We went for the four course set menu with the wine pairing.

Each course was top notch, great flavour and well balanced.

The service was attentive but not intrusive.

It is a relaxed unpretentious atmosphere despite being a high end fine dining restaurant.

One point, as we were served our coffees, we were asked if we would like a digestif, maybe a brandy or a grappa. I went for a grappa. A selection of three bottles were brought to our table and I made my choice.
But it was still a bit of a shock when the bill was brought and the single shot of the grappa was €24!

Great food…Highly recommend.
