The hotel consists of various blocks of differing ages with glass 'skybridge' connecting to reception/restaurant/bar area. The whole complex is in attractive surroundings and is quite stylish. Our room was on the third floor of one older block. There were some steps to negotiate before the lift which could be a problem for some people. It was a spacious twin-bedded room with good-sized en-suite and large windows affording a view of the river. Blackout blinds enabled us to blot out the almost continuous daylight of late May. A kettle and some coffee and tea were provided. There was also a hairdryer, iron and ironing board and very large wardrobes. The buffet breakfast included in the room price had plenty of choice and was served in a pleasant room with interesting artworks. All staff were friendly and helpful, arranging packed breakfasts on the day we had to set out at 2.15 am for a birding excursion. In view of the odd times we kept, leaving very early and returning midday to catch up on sleep we missed out on the housekeeping but feel sure had there been issues they would have been resolved. We had an interesting and tasty dinner of local specialities, but had to dine out on Sunday as the restaurant was closed in the evening. Ample free parking, good wi-fi connection.

Had a business workshop for 30 people. Lasaretti had a good large meeting room for this purpose and additional smaller meeting rooms for teamwork close by. The smaller meeting rooms were quite barren (no dataprojector for example, maybe upon request), but the large meeting room/auditorio was very good. The hotel itself is quite standard, but quite recently build. Room was ok, nothing special. Lasaretti is a bit away from the city lights, but on the other hand the hotel is nicely located at the Oulu river.

We had one night stay in this hotel I would call more like a hostel. Double rooms size was ok but lot of small issues. Old windows caused a really cold room - we both hade sore throat in the morning. TV is really small/old. Bathroom was basic oldish with small shower cabin. From shower you could get only cool or burning hot water.

BREAKFAST:
We went to have a breakfast 30mins before closing time. Everything seemed to be empty already. There barely anything. Also the food allergies were not labelled.

Overall the staff was ok. I was telling about the cold room and they claimed it for the weather change?
