I spent 5 days in this perfect little cottage with my husband, and our our two children ages 5 and 1 years old. We were in Naava and my childhood friend and her family were right next door in Pihka.
A few weeks before our arrival, we discovered that our cabin was a 20 minute walk from our friend's cabin. We were incredibly disappointed as we live in two different countries, hadn't seen one another in 2 years and our children had never met. Fortunately Anne of Napapiirin Jarvilomat is incredibly proactive, and was able to sort us out so that our cabins were right next door to one another!
Our cabin was beautiful, clean, well supplied and the beds were comfy. To my delight, the tile floors in the foyer and bathrooms were heated; I did so thoroughly appreciate the warmth between my toes after playing in the snow. It was also great to warm up a bit in the sauna.
We arrived in the evening, our table was set for 7, with a high chair off to the side. About an hour after we were settled Anne brought the meal we had preordered: Pork filet, curry chicken with pasta, potato pancake, roast potatoes and vegetables, sage gravy, chocolate mouse, blueberry cake, bread basket with butter and 2 large jugs of blueberry juice! The food was delicious and plentiful. There was so much leftover that the 7 of us had enough for dinner the next day.
The rest our days were just wonderful, Anne took such great care of us. It is largely due to her that when we return to Napapiirin Jarvilomat that we will stay 2 weeks instead of 5 days. Any query we ever had, we sent an e-mail and quickly received a response. She set up our safaris, made sure we had our vouchers and directions, arrange for our children to feed the reindeer on the property followed by ice fishing, made she we had snow shoes when we wanted them, fire starters, she even supplied my youngest son with new boots once we discovered what we had for him was inefficient. She was absolutely, unequivocally and utterly AMAZING. I sincerely hope she will be there in 2 years when we return.
Absolutely loved every moment of our time at Napapiirin Jarvilomat, my only advice to anyone thinking about staying here is stop thinking and just book your stay already!
