We've been very lucky to book the tour right on the day. We got great equipment and very warm services from the staff. Besides the northern light the guide offered us many additional information such as the knowledge of star, animal, the movement of ice,etc. When there are something special such as the moose on the road side our guide would tell us as well. We were able to walk up to a small hill with beautiful view, watching northern light while having hot dogs and hot chocolate. Although the northern light is not that strong due to the very bright moon light but we did have a beautiful memorable moment. I hope that I could have chances to come back and try some other product of this company.
We booked a Aurora tour which was led by Anthony and Roma on 31 Oct. Warm clothing were provided prior to taking off so don’t worry about feeling cold during the tour. We were driven about 1 hour to their base camp away from the city lights. We had some time to look for the northern lights but unfortunately there were none at that time and we were feeling a little chilly by that point. (It was -15 the night!) So we went into the hut to barbecue some sausages and had hot chocolate while Anthony stayed outside to observe for the lights and called us out when there was some inkling of the lights happening. It was a clear night and we did manage to observe some weak aurora towards the end of the tour. Even without the lights, it would have been a great experience! Well done to the team!
I recently went one of the Northern Lights tour's this company offers and I couldn't be more satisfied. They were very optimistic in our chances throughout the night and provided a proffessional tour giving us the best chance to see the lights. We were lucky enough to see them! I recommend this company over others as it provides the 5 hour tour where most company's are only 2-3. This extra couple of hours makes a big difference when seeing the lights as without them we would have been in bed with a shorter tour already since the display was not until later. You just never know.
