Restaurant food is very good, breakfast is moderate, BUT room pricing is ridiculous. Very basic hotel without anything special and rundown rooms, but only hotel option in the city, so price is a rip-off. Nice staff though.

Restaurant is very good. Room freezing cold floor, ventilation noisy and blowing cold air all the time not possible to switch of. Ridiculous price for such low standard.
Recommend to try to find another hotel instead of this budget hotel with high end price for rooms.

we are so sorry to hear that you have faced some problems with your room. I really hope you have mentioned about the inconveniences to our reception. We always try to fix the problems right away and change the rooms if there are for example some technical problems with heating, ventilation etc.

kovasti kiitos palautteestasi. Mukava kuulla että ruoka ravintolassamme vastaa toiveitasi. Huoneita meiltä löytyy monista eri huoneluokista ja suurin osa on läpi käynyt mittavat remontit. Valintaa siis löytyy vanhemmasta huoneesta isoihin saunallisiin sviitteihin asti hintojenkin vaihdellessa huonetyypin ja sesongin mukaan. Myös Primehotelsin kanta-asiakkaan voi valittuina aikoina sekä aina lomasesonkina nauttia hyvistä tarjouksista ja eduista. Hienoa että henkilökuntamme on jälleen onnistunut myös palvelutilanteissa.
Oikein ihanaa joulun odotusta ja lämpimästi tervetuloa takaisin vieraaksemme.

Good hotel for business travellers. Basic hotel with 4 different class of rooms. 1-2 is good for business travellers and 3-4 for family or vacation travellers. Good parking space. Basic breakfast. Very friendly staff. Only bad side is the price..it's above the average.

Todella tilava ja hieno huone. Hyvät sängyt. Petivaatteet tuoksuivat raikkailta ja nukuin todella hyvin! Ystävällinen palvelu. Spacious nice room. Comfy beds. Slept really well in the fresh smelling sheets. Friendly staff.

Nice hotel business travellers, fast reception, parking places close entrance.
Clean douple room with wifi. Nice bathroom.
Hotel restaurant quite expensive, I ordered ”hunters sandwitch” very nice.
Very good continental breakfast

I was on business trip end of August 2018 in Finland and stayed in for overnight in Hotel Oscar in Varkaus, which has central location in this town.
It was my first visit in this hotel and the experience was positive.
The service at hotel desk both in and out was very smooth.
The room was quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable.
I had good night sleep, which is not the case in all hotels.
I had a good evening snack in the hotel.
The price of the room is not the lowest in Varkaus area, but for my purpose worth the money.
