Good hotel for business travellers. Basic hotel with 4 different class of rooms. 1-2 is good for business travellers and 3-4 for family or vacation travellers. Good parking space. Basic breakfast. Very friendly staff. Only bad side is the price..it's above the average.

Clean douple room with wifi. Nice bathroom.
Hotel restaurant quite expensive, I ordered ”hunters sandwitch” very nice.

I was on business trip end of August 2018 in Finland and stayed in for overnight in Hotel Oscar in Varkaus, which has central location in this town.
It was my first visit in this hotel and the experience was positive.
The service at hotel desk both in and out was very smooth.
The room was quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable.
I had good night sleep, which is not the case in all hotels.
I had a good evening snack in the hotel.
The price of the room is not the lowest in Varkaus area, but for my purpose worth the money.

The hotel Oscar in Varkaus is the choice to overnight there even when the price value ratio is not good. But there are not so many alternatives, if at all.
The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. The hotel restaurant offers good food for a fair price.
The hotel has a small gym with some main tools, but as the hotel is quite big, the way there and back is already and exercise.
