Although located right next to the lively Kuopion tori, the restaurant is very calm and peaceful. Staff is very sensitive and helpful. It has a cool backyard terrace at least in summer time. I've eaten both lunch and dinner, had some nice subtle, mild and balanced flavors, fish cooked with skill.

Just had a lovely dinner with my family at Komilfo. The mussels in creamy white wime sauce were proper French style moules marinieres, absolutely delicious! By far the best in any restautant in Finland. We ordered a portion for 2 which turned out to be very generous, so our daughter very happily helped us finishing it. The galette and the dessters ( creme brulee and banana crepe) were very good too, and the whole menu looks pretty interesting so we will be back soon to try more. A lovely place and a very welcome addition to the Kuopio restaurant scene.

The place is really cozy, warm and quiet. The personnel is always ready to answer you and advise you for your food and even regarding the wine. They clearly know their stuff. The food is also very good and we clearly find everything we could find in France!
If you are looking for French food this is probably the best place in all region.
