Not as good as the One in jyvaskyla since It Is older. It gas a good rate and position. Clean, parking free, central but poor breakfast.
Close to river and grocery storie. Joensu in good position to visit koli National Park.

We stayed for one night with my wife visiting relatives.
The service at reception was very friendly and the room was very nice and clean. The location is very central next to the town square with nice restaurants near by.
The hotel has a good parking garage with two chargers for EVs. The garage was almost empty but one of the charging spots was taken by a gasoline car. Maybe the charger spots should be painted green with a sign "Only for EV charging".
We highly value the eco friendly values of the hotel and the excellent value for the €.
Anytime we'll be staying in Joensuu we'll stay here. We highly recommend this hotel.
Very basic place for a short stay. Cleaning only six days a week, which was not announced on their web pages nor mentioned when checking in.....had to ask for a new towel at the reception.
Better art in the walls than in Scandic. Breakfast with very limted choise, tolerable for a maximun of two days. After that you dont want to be here anyway without a very good reason. Toilet bath/room made obviously by a company that makes those for passanger ships too: a plastic cubicle brought in as a comlete unit, works ok thou.
GreenStar is an environment friendly hotel with helpful staff, nice breakfast and excellent location. I stayed on the fourth floor which was perfectly silent. The bars nearby are OK, also shops and museums are worth visiting as well. Price is nice, too!
If I could I would give 3 1/2 stars. Staff was friendly, out side was good, parking in garage was fine, room ok but was so hot. In a decent area, every thing about this place is decent nothing to complain about.
Greenstar is a well functioning hotel with friendly staff, good breakfast and it’s situated on an excellent location. I stayed on the fourth floor which was perfectly silent. The arts and crafts boutiques right next to the hotel are definitely worth visiting as well.
