It is possible to drive to the Kvvarken archipelago from Vassa.
We went there after we had been to the Terranova the day before. So, we were able to understand the tiny islets & rocks protruding out of the water in the Kvarken archipelago. They are there because the land in this area is still riding up out of the water, after having been submerged as a result of 3 km high glaciers pressing the land down from its weight. Now the glaciers have melted the land is coming back up again. That is why there are houses & sheds on tiny island, as they are growing in size slowly.
We went on a short well marked bushwalki. Be warned, there are thousands of mosquitoes, so put on lots of insect repellent. We had to put out scarves around our heads & necks to stop the mosquitoes biting our only exposed skin....ughrrrr
Otherwise soo worth it. Next time I would take a picnic, as there are fireplaces, with wood provided along the route of the walk. The short walk we took was about 3 km, over lots of boulders, so wear good shoes.
