The hotel room was a disaster, like stepping into a 1980 hotel, the analog thick-TV was like a blast from the past, with no "preset" channels, so not usable. The green chair next to the window was filthy dirty. the toilet bend was black! disgusting! also information A4-paper with a map to the running track was poor and difficult to find information about where to take a run. Poor signs at the hotel where to locate my room. The Gym had potential but just felt sad. Just a sad experience! The location and view is however excellent! so much potential if it got a chance!

It is just unbelievable that that hotels like this still exist. Built as a large compound 1970 on top of a hill with fantastic view, it has besides hotel, restaurant, discotheque, bar and conference facilities also some sporting activities. Minigolf, skiing slope, hockey rink and some sort of sports museum that I didn't visit. There are nice paths to walk or run on around the area and a spa/relax in the basement that I didn't get to experience.

Most of the compound is true to the original 1970's build. The buildings are made of concrete and brown anodized aluminium details, the aesthetics just ooze eastern Europe before the wall came down. I absolutely love this. Some renovation appears to have been made in the 90's. To be honest much of the place is a bit worn, there are holes in the furniture and carpeting just about everywhere. But everything is kept in a very clean state.

My room was in a clean and functional shape. Lack of air conditioning kept the temperature closer to 30 degrees but I managed through the night with an open window. The room was probably renovated in the 90's and had some totally retro features as a fat TV, full wall mirrors and brass detailing. Bed was very comfortable and there was several wall outlets that enables charging of devices.

The restaurant offered a three-course dinner which was superb, the breakfast and lunch likeso. It also offers a astounding panoramic view of Skövde and the surroundings.

Staff appears friendly and very helpful.

This hotel is a blast, the view is astounding and I would recommend this place anytime to anyone seeking an odd experience. I sincerely hope they do not renovate this hotel in a long time, since it will just turn to the same styling all modern hotels have.

This was a good hotel although in need of rooms to be renovated. There was a good gym and spa which I didn’t use. The breakfast was buffet style and had a few hot options but lots of choice of cold options. The rooms were basic and still had old style CRT tv and no in room coffee which to be fair seemed common in Sweden. The staff were very helpful and I would stay at this hotel again.

This hotel would vertainly benefit from a good renovation work but it is well situated, there is a big fitness room to exercise and the staff is helpful. Breakfast could be improved with a better bread assortment.
