“Only if you must stay close to the airport”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 January 2012

When my flight got cancelled I didn’t have a choice but to stay at Connect Hotel Skanska for one night. As Skanska airport is in the middle of nowhere, you literally do not have any other options but to stay here. It is 2 minutes’ walk from the terminal and therefore very convenient.

The hotel is quite big compared to the size of the airport. It is modern with a spacious lobby and waiting area. It gets dark from 3.30pm in January and the hotel is surrounded by woodland, so there is not much else to do but to stay inside. The hotel clearly tries to entertain guests: sauna, very small gym, snooker table, kid’s corner and small selection of Swedish books. Good effort! There is a computer in the lobby for free of charge, but if you wish to print your boarding pass be prepared to pay 50 SEK per page (around £5). Wi-Fi is available in your room for an extra charge.

The receptionist was polite and helpful. We stayed at a Family Room on the third floor and we paid – without reservation - SEK 795. The room was clean and modern (IKEA style furniture) but very small. Bathroom was clean, functional and on the small side but what do I expect from an airport hotel? The TV had around 10 channels from which one had a live arrival / departure screen which is always a good idea.

The continental breakfast is served from 4am and it is included in the price. Very poor selection: 2 types of meat, sliced cheese, jam, bread and some muesli. The hotel also serves dinner: burger, pasta and some local dishes for a reasonable price. I would compare it to an average pub dinner.

It is convenient and clean but do not expect more than a boring airport hotel for £80 per night.

We arrived on a late night flight and left early the following morning. Walked 1 min from airport into vast lobby/lounge of hotel. Got a pleasant welcome at reception, the room was Spartan but in good order with an excellent shower and a fairly comfy bed (this was not one of the shared rooms). Had a few (expensive) drinks at the bar followed by a good night's sleep. The buffet continental breakfast was fine too - all products freshly displayed and good coffee. What more do you want when simply passing through to Stockholm early the following morning? One thing that got me about the interior design is that it looks like a Victorian British prison with the rooms off three or four levels of galleries which surround the central 'courtyard' of the reception area. There was a bit of a funny 'sewage' type smell outside the main door the next morning, but it wasn't noticeable inside. Would stay again as it was an easy location to stay for a night's rest en-route to our final destination. The bus stop to Stockholm was 1-2 mins from the hotel.

I have been in this hotel on october 2011 for one night I choose this hotel coz as I red here it's near the airport and we had a early flight to go back to Mila.We choose the room quick sleep we paid around 595 sek

positive: nice location, on the second floor the is a lounge where you can play billiard and watch tv while drinking your cocktail me and my wife enjoyed it a lot, breakfast included on the rates, breakfast starts at 4:00 in the morning so for those who has a early flight this hotel is for you coz it's just in front of the airport.

Negative: They checked in us in the room where the sheet of the bed and pillow is completely undone so me and my wife had to do their job and arrange everything.maybe it's just a mistakes beacause I noticed that the receptionist is in training that time which is I completely understand beacause I am also a receptionist so I did'nt complain anyway to the lady sort of shift leader at the reception.

I stayed with my daughter age 8 on the night of November 6th in the basic room. We were pretty surprised to see that (a) we had to make our own bed and (b) the room had no toilet or shower (these were on the landing). But the worst thing of all was the smell. Although we were only staying for around 6 hours due to a very early flight the next morning, the acrid, pungent smell in the room kept me awake for most of the night. We were glad we were not staying any longer, and were glad to get out. This is one of those hotels that looks cool from the outside, but leaves a lot to be desired on the inside. Breakfast was ok.

Room Tip: i wouldn´t stay in the basic room, although I am not sure an upgrade would be less smelly. be ready...

Arrived late evening for a morning flight. Basic "fly and sleep" room not to tiny and very quiet. Shared shower and bathroom but whath do you expect for just over 500SEK.

Breakfast OK

Room Tip: Dont go for the cheapest rooms if you cant stand the hostel style!
