This is as I understand one of if not the largest spherical arena in the world. As such it's an interesting and impressive site. Events staged here range from hockey to super stars. I've seen among others the Stones and Rod Stewart here which was great.

Thank Ugurd

Family of three with teenager, visited Ericsson Globe in July 2011. First, we watched a short film on how the world's largest spherical building, Ericsson Globe, was constructed. Then, we went inside the gondola to go up the top of the Globe and got fantastic panoramic views of the city from the glass gondola all around which was worth our visit.

I always try to find a spot where I can see city landscape in new places. This place is perfect for me, I have put it on my list to visit in Stockholm. Fortunately, it was included in the Stockholm City Card. Of course, there is other alternative to do that, such as from Kaknäs Tower, however I enjoyed the experience being inside the "glass", and see Stockholm. The experience was started by a short movie about the history of the Ericsson Globe. It helped us to appreciate more the experience. However, don't expect that you can enjoy it immediately as you have tickets. You need to wait. But there is an estimate, what time your turn is. Therefore, good planning is necessary (buying ticket+waiting time).

We had free admission with the Stockholm City card so it was fine as we didn't lose anything by seeing it. If I had paid the full ticket price I would have been disappointed. You queue up, to stand in a 'glass carriage' that slowly goes half way up the globe on the outside, stops, then goes back down! A little dull really. Some good views but nothing spectacular. There's a decent shopping mall next to it so I'd pop in there and have a coffee instead as there's more to see and do!
