Check in was swift and easy.
Room was perfectly adequate for two people staying for a long weekend.
Clean, comfortable and cosy. Some may complain about the room size but we had no issues; it was just somewhere to sleep after a day of sightseeing.
Breakfast, choice of fresh fruit, breads and pastries, cheese, ham etc the normal offering for a continental chice.
Checking in was swift and straightforward. The staff are courteous and friendly.
If you like your IPA, I can recommend the NY lager!

The city; easy to get around if you are planning to visit the many museums, palaces etc, purchase the Copenhagen card, it's worth every penny and it also includes travel on the train, bus and metro (within the city). Check out the details online.

The people here are incredibly friendly and from our experience the Danes are the most friendliest nation I have had the pleasure of knowing, being polite goes a long way.

For some reason my ratings for the hotel did not save, therefore we have said;
5 for service
4 for location
5 for sleep quality

Enjoy.

Some say it's expensive if you compare it to most city breaks, ( London, Rome, NY) it's about the same and it depends where you dine!

Thank you for an excellent review!

It is a pleasure to read your kind words about not only the hotel experience and our staff, but the Danes in general and how welcomed you felt during your entire stay. It makes me proud to be a Dane!

Your recommendations are much appreciated and we hope to see friends and family of yours visiting in the future as well as having you back.

Kind regards,

This is a good hotel, very convenient for the train station. It seems to be a remodelled older building.
Excellent staff, no problems with checkin/out, and waiting staff were similar.
My single room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast is European style with the emphasis on healthy eating. Bugger!
There are a number of excellent bars and restaurants nearby.
It is in the heart of the red light district in the city, so if that offends go elsewhere.

Thank you for a lovely review!

The hotel is located within a beautiful, traditional Copenhagen building and reopened after a full renovation back in May 2015. Therefore, guests are enjoying brand new design by Designers Guild in warm colours and modern interior aiming to create a homey and welcoming feeling.

We appreciate your praise and recommendations and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back!

The hotel is very Close to the Central Railway station and the city senter. It,s clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms are not big, so it,s a bit problematic if you have two big suitcases. The rooms at the rear, With Windows away from the street, are best for light sleepers.
Breakfast is fine. The hotel hire out bicykles for aprox. 15 Euro a day, and Copenhagen is very good for bicykling. The hotel prices are in the midle class, but vary according to the season. It.s popular, so order on beforhand.

Room Tip: Rooms towards the back are more quiet

Only stayed one night but enjoyed the hotel's amenities. Room (single) was small but typical of European hotels. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast buffet (included) was excellent with lots of options. A short walk from the central train station, accessible by train from the airport. Tivoli Gardens in nearby.

Room Tip: Some rooms are accessed by stairs. So if that is issue, ask for a room without stairs.

Thank you for your feedback.

I am happy to hear that you had an enjoyable stay and appreciate your praise!

We have nine different room types all varying in size and amenities, why we encourage future guests to read the description on our website of each room to make sure to find the perfect one fitting the needs of each guest.

I hope you enjoyed your short stay in Copenhagen!

Stayed here 4 nights as part of our European holiday.
The we chose a superior double room. It was in the top floor level5 and was spacious and well equipped. There was a problem with the air conditioning as the room was too warm, we advised reception, but nothing changed, we didn't follow up. Luckily it was Autumn so no big deal, but it needs to be fixed for other seasons.
The included breakfast is excellent in both quality and choice. The only minor issue is that a decent expression coffee was extra as on ly the scaninavian style filter coffee is included. But the breakfast is very good.
The staff and reception were excellent.
There is no in hotel dining other than breakfast, but not a problem as there are many places to eat very close by.
Location is also very good. A 3 minute walk to the railway station, also close to the main shopping area.
Good value for Copenhagen which is not a cheap city.

Thank you for a kind and valuable review.

I am happy to see that you had a pleasant stay enjoying both the central location of the hotel, the wonderful cuisine of Copenhagen as well as the experience of staying at Absalon Hotel.

The engine of our air conditioning broke down recently, why guests have unfortunately not been able to enjoy the benefit of having a/c in the superior rooms. This is of course something we have as our first priority to solve - and meanwhile we appreciate the fact that the weather does not scream for the a/c to be turned on at the moment.

I hope to see you back in Copenhagen!
