Lovely little hotel conveniently located for the centre of Copenhagen as well as the Meat Packing district (lots of good dinner options). Rooms were on the small side, but not too small - enough space for what we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn’t have breakfast there as we thought it expensive, and instead went to Grød (porridge place next door), Granola (cool café 10 mins walk away) and Lagkugehuset (bakery, again 10 mins walk away), all of which were cheaper. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is certainly somewhere you can enjoy, and it's completely practical, but ultimately it's nothing really special. Rooms a bit on the small side and an ok but nit inspiring outlook. The location, about 20+ minutes walk to main station and rather more to other central areas, mean that it's possible to walk places but quite a step. If you hired bikes it could be easier. This also means that arriving by air, you likely end up taking a taxi, since it's a long haul from the train station when you have baggage. The immediate area on a medium sized road, its one of those understated Copenhagen inner suburbs that is quite nice, delightful coffee bar two doors along and an interesting park about 15mns walk in direction away from town. Service by and large was ok.

Booked for 3 nights
Location was not far from Copenhagen Central Train Station. Walking will be 20-30 mins, but there is bus no. 6A with 3 stops to reach the main station
We are greeted and explain clearly on the rooms and area to visit by the receptionist.
Fruits are always available for hotel guest for free. The rooms are big, clean and spacious. WiFi Internet connection .
Everything in the hotel room toiletries are made 100% organic. It’s also available for sales too, if you want to purchase
Highly recommend for the stay

We have book 3 nights. Location to main Copenhagen Central was approximately 25mins walk. But there will be bus every 5-8 mins to the station.
The reception greeted us politely. We arrived around 12 noon and was allow to check in early. Which are great as it was a long travel that day with heavy rain.
Rooms size prefect, clean and uses organic toiletries... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fruits is always serve at reception for guest to consume.
It’s near to all the attraction and very accessible
To be recommended

From the moment we arrived, the 3 different front desk staff we came in contact with could not do enough to help us. The immediate Vesterbro neighborhood had everything we needed (restaurants, cafes, bakeries, grocery stores, convenience stores, shops, and a laundromat), making a superb base for 5 days of sightseeing. Armed with a Copenhagen Card providing unlimited use of public transport, we often walked into the city center (about 20 minutes), but rode the bus back to the hotel when we were tired or it rained, or to other farther flung parts of the city. We also went to 3 neighboring villages/towns by train (Roskilde, Hillerod, & Humlebaek). In all instances, the front desk reviewed and helped us with our sightseeing plans. The bus stop in front of the hotel was convenient, and we frequently used nearby cafes, restaurants and grocery stores. The laundromat a half block away was a godsend. We were in one of the hotel's larger rooms, #208, facing the rear with a very small balcony (the room is not spacious, but roomy enough to move around and not trip on each other). View of the back of neighboring apartments, housing, and down on the hotel's outside tables. The bathroom housed a clawfoot tub with handheld spray right out of the old Hollywood cowboy movies (picture dirty cowboys bathing in a suds-upped double oval short tub in a hotel). It required some occasional tub gymnastics, but overall we enjoyed having a tub. We appreciated the hotel's eco themes, being adults only, and complimentary fruit. We weren't so keen on the small slow elevator that only made stops between floors and the extra 3 percent or so added onto the bill for paying with a credit card. We did know about the credit card policy in advance, and I know in some rare cases very small businesses will pass credit card fees along to customers, still, given all of Scandinavia seems to be going cashless and we have never encountered this credit card policy in a hotel anywhere else before, perhaps the Bertrams should alter their process? We felt staying away from Copenhagen city center made the most sense, likely avoiding a premium on hotel rates, but more importantly avoiding ever-present huge crowds of people. We liked the Guldesmen concept, and were very comfortable in Vesterbro and in the Bertrams. In total honesty, were we to return, we might stay at the Bertrams again, but would more likely try another spot just to see something different.

Room tip: Most rooms smaller size/shower only, Rm 208 Superior Double-garden side little larger, tub w. handheld spray
