Not bad, and the elephant house is nice, but most animals were asleep when I got there. hahaha

“Average place to visit”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2012

I visited zoo at 9 am sharp. It is divided into 2 areas - african & scandivanian. Tiger & Lion are one of the main attractions and in summer this year, there will be a polar bear too. there is tropical forest maintained at 37 C & 80% humidity amidst the cold areas. I saw different colored frogs & birds. I crossed the underpass to reach african side and saw rhino, giraffe, zebra.
If you have visited a zoo in singapore or berlin (from what my friends say), you may give this a pass. The tiger opened his mouth to roar, but was able to jet out cold frosty air.

“Great zoo, with very nice areas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2012

I went there after more than 20 year without entering in a zoo.
It is a very nice place to take the kids for some fresh air.

“Awesome zoo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2012

Liked:
The red panta and the polar bear were the highlights of the zoo, since you don't get to see them everywhere.
Very big zoo, lots of animals and good that they are in packs.
Disliked:
Only indoor cafe is at the start of the zoo where you enter and it doesn't serve food

“Impressive new facilities”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 February 2012

This old zoo is worth a visit. Especially after they've built the new elephant home, which is impressive. If you take the tunnel across/under the street, there's a "Kid's Zoo" with petting animals and also brand new giraffe facilities.

There are lots of picnic sites, where you can have a lunch, and a few cafées.

And if you're fit, don't miss a trip to the top of the Zoo tower - the view of the city is amazing.
