“Mostly furniture, but also a good special exhibition”
Reviewed 24 February 2012

We mainly visited this museum because we got free tickets from the hotel but in the end I am glad we did see this. The museum holds mainly furniture and the start of the it is a little boring. But when you get to the really old stuff in the back, it gets really interesting. They had a thread winder from the 18th century which I thought was great. You can really see what style furniture people had in their homes in past centuries. During our visit there was a special exhibition about women in Chanel which was a photo gallery and very interesting. Note that backpacks are not allowed inside the museum and you have to leave them behind in a locker with DKK20 refunded deposit. This would not have been my first choice of museum, but I am pleased to say that I was surprised and would even visit this again.

“Design, design, design.”

Nice museum. Big on Danish design. See all the great designs of Henningsen, Poulsen, Jakobsen and many international designers. The museum also has a nice cafe.

“Good contemporary exebitions”
Reviewed 21 February 2012

The Danish Design Center has some really interesting contemporary exebitions. But don't miss the part in the basement: An exebition with danish design icons.

“Really not worth paying”
Reviewed 14 February 2012

This place is not worth paying the admission fee. Its a very small collection of some Danish household items in a basement.
