Like many travelers, my wife and I were looking for a hotel that was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Andersen Boutique Hotel fit those requirements perfectly. Coming from Paris, we were much relieved when we checked in just after midnight for the on-duty person could not have been more welcoming.
Our trip, however, was more than the usual tourist sort of thing. I was hoping to find where my great parents lived before they emigrated to the United States in the mid-19th century. It required a lot of time and extra travel but we succeeded, thanks to the staff at the Andersen who gave us hints on how to start, where to go, etc. They also helped us navigate Copenhagen, how to see the usual sights without having to stand in long lines and where to get a good meal, getting us in even if the restaurant was fully booked. Two of the staff warrant special thanks: Alexander and Anna Mette. They could not have been more helpful and friendly -- proof as far as we are concerned that as nice as the Andersen Boutique Hotel is, the best thing about it are the people.More
