I travel to Esbjerg for business quite often and I always stay at Scandic. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are nice and clean. After the refurbishing of the lower floors a couple of years ago all rooms are in good condition with comfortable beds.
The hotel can be quite busy, especially on weekdays, so remember to book in advance.
The restaurant is nice and the breakfast buffet is plentiful.

I was there so many times in past and I can tell you that right now,Olympic is one of the best hotels in Esbjerg.
Freshly renovated,with new amazing beds and rooms. I got smaller,single room,but I felt like I'm home.

Stayed here for one night during the weekend. With the Scandic Smiles program the price for a double room (including a roll away bed) including breakfast for DKk 715. Thats a good price.

The hotel itself isn't very charming (brick building from the early 80's), and neither is the restaurant. The rooms, however, are definetely OK. Fair sized rooms with good beds and actually some of the best hotel pillows I've tried at this pricelevel. The furnishing is fairly modern and the rooms have probably been renovated within the last few years.

Service at the not very charming restaurant was not very good. Not unfriendly, but just substandard (wine arrived 5 minutes after the adults food, and our kids were served even later than that). The breakfast buffet is actually above average, but please, make the restaurant just a little more appealing by - for example - to provide table cloths on the tables for breakfast.

Finally: Nice and hearthy welcome by the receptionist.

Room Tip: Get as high in building as possible to get views of the harbor and the sea

Stayed in many Scandic hotels around Scandinavia, Germany, Poland and the on in Brussels.

The restaurant of the Scandic Olympic in Esbjerg is just good and great service (ref other Tripadvisor entry). The hotel is a bit disappointing as the climate of the rooms, corridors and escape size is too narrow and it just does tot meet the large Scandic with their good customer service standard.

Notwithstanding the above, the staff is helpful and very supportive.

All Scandic friends (frequent visitors) benefits work perfectly and wifi is good.
